After waiting for a few weeks for it to arrive down under (and it not arriving in time for the movie), my x exclusive jacket fits me perfectly and I’m crying. I was so worried that it was going to be too small and I’d have to sell it. This takes its rightful place as my most prized item of clothing, of which a good chunk is now just NIN merch, hey 🤣
I also got the tee and hoodie, both swimming on me (American sizes mean business), plus one of each for to save on separate shipping, and they also had the other Tron Ares hoodies on sale, so I grabbed one of each.
Anyhow, I need to see the movie again because… it’s actually good! (The soundtrack slaps, I wonder who did the music? 🤔)discordanceinch.nails

What a movie! I enjoyed the plot (Tron is a solid franchise) and the soundtrack fit in beautifully. I was in the immersive session with the synchronised wristband that flashed to the music, which we didn’t even get to keep. It was kind of distracting anyway.
Sensory notes: this movie quite intense, but a pair of earplugs helped and I caught most of the dialogue with ease. Wasn’t too put off by the flashy scenes, but they will definitely be a bit much for some. Even though it was in 3D and IMAX format, I didn’t get vertigo or motion sickness. Overall, a bit of desensitisation by limited exposure helped me actually enjoy the experience.

TW: Mental health talk
Today I received a PR box from , a brand I have loved since they came onto the scene (combo skin, yo). I tried to seek them out at Bondi Beach last week to say hello, but didn’t manage to find them.
When this box arrived on my doorstep today, I opened it and I almost cried. I would like to thank Davey and the team at BWY for this unique, thoughtful, and extremely meaningful gift that made me reflect (literally) on my own mental health struggles over the years, especially during this recent week where the depression kinda got me a bit. I hope that this gift can provide a young person the encouragement and desire to see themselves live to be my age (37), because I sure as hell never thought I’d get here.

No strobe lights for this one (well, not until the end when the big NIN projection comes on, for which I switched off my recording)! It’s the encore that’s not really an encore.
For a show that brought out the giggling schoolboy in TR (courtesy of and the heckler incident, because Philadelphia), Hurt always tames the crowd.

Rivet Goes Grocery Shopping (in the US) 🤭🤭
The only place I really looked at food was in Target and US Target is something else entirely!
If you’re new here, “Rivet Goes Grocery Shopping” is what I say when I feature skincare or makeup I end up buying when I’m supposed to only go… err, grocery shopping. “But it’s for the blog” I say while I have no real desire to get back to beauty content (yet).

This photo of me being feral was exclusively for , but it deserves a place on the grid because after people seeing an extremely curated version of my life (all the selfies and outfit photos from my trip), I can attest that I am like this 99% of the time when I’m at home, posting on Discord, or creating things on my computer/crafting.
I am a hot mess most of the time.

A little wordy down here ⬇️ (TW: skin picking)
I didn’t pick at my skin or squeeze anything for 9 days while I was down in Naarm/Melbourne and I came back to some of the worst congestion of my life, so naturally, I went back to plucking my brows and squeezing my pores until I made my skin angry.
The photo here was taken a week ago, and it improved from there, but I made it worse by going “digging for gold” when I got home.
Old habits die hard, I guess.
