The first winner we’ve selected for this week’s virtual car show is Ole Blue. This 80 Series not only looks a million bucks, it’s loaded to the brim with quality mods and best of all it’s all owner built. The first thing you’ll notice is the dual-cab chop and colour coded tool boxes with the blue paint work popping very well against the black bar work, snorkel, roof rack and wheels. The chassis was braced in the typical failure spots, before a bunch of suspension goodies including Hyperflex Radius Arms, Dobinson 4” coils and Superior shocks were bolted in. Under the bonnet you’ll find a turbocharged 1FZFE which is controlled via a Haltech with a ic7 dash. Inside has been made a lot more comfortable thanks to custom XR Falcon seats and a 300 Series GR steering wheel. On the back there’s a canopy which has been kitted out with a custom 12v lithium set up including solar for off-grid travelling, and holding the whole show up are braced diff’s chock full of ARB lockers. Combined with front and rear mounted electric winches, there’s not many tracks this weapon wouldn’t eat up. Great build. We love it!!
