Another blast from the past!

We gave the Arisaka new life yesterday and put a few rounds through it in the first time in we can only guess how long.

We were lucky enough to find some 7.7mm Japanese ammunition when we were drooling over some rare and oftwn not seen fi****ms at Rebel Gun Works and got a box to get this rifle out on special occasions, or just because we feel like it.

Another of Henry’s growing collection of World War Two fi****ms, this rifle is in great condition, has the anti-aircraft sights, the monopod and intact chrysanthemum, a must for Henry to purchase a rifle like this.

Great fun was had by all and we look forward to the next time we fire a few rounds through it.

What’s the rarest calibre you have in your collection?

We got the opportunity to fire a mates Česká zbrojovka P-10 at the range the other day. The gun fires incredibly well for a polymer framed handgun and lives up to the CZ name. Great ergonomics and an overall fun gun to shoot.

If you are in the market for a polymer framed striker fired handgun, this should be at the top of your list. Like all CZ fi****ms it has the low bore axis and is covered by a lifetime barrel warranty. It also has a much better trigger than most of the competitors. It comes with replaceable back straps and a swappable magazine release for the lefties.

The new P-10F comes ready for optics meaning you could compete in standard, production, optics and production optics if you want to get into IPSC, and is also very competitively priced when you compare to other brands.

Celebrating 165 years of the Queensland Rifle Association and a proud week of State Championships competition at the Belmont Shooting Complex.

From the Queen’s Prize at Victoria Park in 1878 to today’s King’s Prize, the QRA has played an important role in Queensland’s sporting history.

With more than 300 competitors taking part, congratulations to all the shooters and event winners.

We’re proud to support the QRA and the future of sport shooting in Queensland as we work towards a lasting 2032 Games legacy.

Born in 1900, this **erc96 lives again. After months of lawn mowing, shifts at the coffee shop and other random jobs, today we got the chance to fire the handgun again.

We were lucky enough to get some 7.63 Ma**er to make it breathe fire once again.

Gun purchased from Rebel Gun Works.

Taking a little detour from my usual IPSC firearm posting today to announce $4000 and 8 months later, I now have a 1900 all matching C96 flat side. With rubber grips. Highly collectable and got a great deal on it from rebelgunworks

Huge congratulations to my brother in CZ and good friend, IPSC Mifsud, who just won super junior at the Townsville Super Series. Thank you Peter for continuing the CZ superiority in my absence. Also congratulations to all who competed and won, and to Sean Koch for winning again…

The individuals are done at Bisley and Australia sees a young superstar at the top of the U25's.

Jock Foster from Armidale Rifle Club has won the under 25 Championships in Bisley 2026 and finished 4th in open !!! What an amazing young man he is - on and off the range. Bryon was 4th in the U25, Mia 5th, Beau 6th, Jacinta 9th - all in the top 10.

Our QRA chargers have also done well. Frog finished 17th and Mia 36th - both in the TOP 50.

In F/TR, Jason Mayers, Andrew McKillop and Frans Knox all placed inside the top 50 - 46, 47, and 48 respectively!

The QRA extends its heartiest congratulations to Jock and all the Australian team at Bisley. We so very proud of what you are achieving. To the Australian U25's, you are showing us exactly what our future holds and it's something rather special!

Dad here. Henry turned 14 today so we booked a one on one training session with the one and only Eric Grauffel (10x IPSC handgun world champion) via zoom.

Henry got the opportunity to pick his brain and ask for advice and get some tips for training and competition. Also, Eric is a very nice dude with so much knowledge he is happy to share. There is a reason he has been world champion 10 times but is still incredibly humble.

Happy birthday, Henry, and I hope your birthday was memorable.
