An email featuring an AI image of a wrecking balls smashing into caravans with council staff wearing hard hats has outraged van owners. Image from the Email leaked by Clarence Valley Council.

One of the suggestions in the email was:

"A play the song, Wrecking Ball, Miley Cyrus – Staff flying around on wrecking balls with crowns on knocking over caravans?? Too soon? Too sensitive? Maybe next year?"

Other suggestions were

"A “CLOWNING GLORY” – We get called clowns all the time – wouldn’t it be funny to play to it! - Purple Reigh – rendition of PRINCE from ‘Prince Street”

"A Crowning Glory – The Great Clarence Coronation / Clarence’s Royal Roadworks

1 King (with crown + hi-vis vest)

Council Supervisors (directing, bossy types)

Council Workers (with props: shovels, brooms, witches hats, clipboards)

Residents (complaining, clapping, cheering)

Royal Trumpeters/Heralds (sound effects with kazoos, DIY trumpets, or just making “da-da-da-da” noises)"

Well we made it to Perth for the 2025 Australian Youth Championships.

Lilly is playing in the NSW under 18s side.

Driving around this city in a strange car is quiet interesting.

Arrived for the girls training before the National Volleyball League game followed by the Opening Ceremony at 3pm.

Lillys first game at 8pm tonight

Don't forget Steve is filling in on breakfast this week and next from 6am with National News on the Hour and plenty of great music and information to keep you abreast of what is happening in the community.

I will keep you updated of how things progress with NSW, but to say I am proud of my little girl is an understatement

She and Katrina have been travelling to Sydney every weekend (sometimes twice per week) for months
