Like all disasters, you don't know what it's like to live through a flood until you've lived through a flood.

But the Living with the River: Flood History, from the Dreamtime to Now photographic exhibition at Hawkesbury Library Service gives you a fair idea.

The photos were snapped by amateurs, semi and full professional photographers, with a category for digitally enhanced works too.

They show the diverse ways communities engage with the river.

The exhibition is on at the Windsor library until September 30.

And remember to look up when you're there - that ceiling!

The call of the pipes has heralded the upcoming The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in February 2026.
To prepare, we're indulging in a sneaky mid-weeky taste of Scotland on International Tartan Day.
Thank you Flourish PR for the starter kit of Bisko shortbread and Loch Lomond Whiskies. We'll add a touch of stirring music, a dash of cultural pride and a little tartan while we work today to celebrate our Scottish ancestry.
Slàinte Mhath!

Visited the new Pier Pavilion to see what all the fuss is about.
Wow! What a beautiful space.
Lovely to see it being used and the clean lines of the architecture appreciated.
Sydney's version of the Parthenon is a fabulous addition to Watermans Cove, .
