From women's business to bush tucker, Dreamtime stories and famous Aussie sea and land animals, the Meanjin (Brisbane) to Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) tour with Elisha Kissick and Tours is a must-do.

It's part of Discover Aboriginal Experiences, a flagship collective of Aboriginal-guided journeys across Australia supported by Tourism Australia.

🎶 Brisbane’s City Sounds is Australia’s largest & longest-running live music program - and it's FREE!

From indie, folk & jazz to electronic beats, discover emerging talent + big names who’ve gone on to rock national & global stages (think Ball Park Music, Sheppard, Kate Miller-Heidke, Dami Im + more).

Hey, The Bee Gees, The Saints, The Go-Betweens and Powderfinger had to start somewhere, right?

Last week, we stumbled upon Dublin Rose in Queen Street Mall and Zeus in Reddacliff Place. 🎤✨

✨🔥 Such a magical experience wandering through Brisbane's City Botanic Gardens at as part of Brisbane Festival ✨🌿

It felt like time stood still while we roamed through a glowing dreamscape of fire sculptures, candlelit installations, live performances and shimmering waters.

Wonderful to see people of all ages, from families and older groups to young couples on date nights, walking in wonder beneath the trees, where light bent through branches and fire flickered in the night.

From the powerful Indigenous introduction to the inspiring artworks by young creatives, every moment stirs reflection, connection and awe. 🌌💫

How lucky are we!? Spring wildness surrounds us at home along the little bush track behind our house.
It's such a joy to take a daily walk among the bird calls, the erupting native blooms and the changing light - and every day is different.

Congratulations Cabravale Club Resort - 100 years in operation is a huge achievement. It's a milestone that represents priceless service to the local community.

After a century of service to community, connection and culture in Western Sydney, Cabra-Vale Diggers officially became Cabravale Club Resort last night – Australia’s first integrated club resort.

As well as heartfelt speeches, the unveiling of a time capsule and a charity auction that raised over $28,000 for The Sebastian Foundation, the packed room was entertained by The Voice 2023 winner Tarryn Stokes Music and 2019 finalist Jacinta Gulisano - ‘Sinta’.

Can't wait to see the completed Novotel Cabramatta when it opens later this year.

Looking forward to diving into the commemorative book, Heritage & Heart, by Linda Joannides to learn more about the club's fascinating history (while wearing the memorial lapel pin), in the meantime.

Like all disasters, you don't know what it's like to live through a flood until you've lived through a flood.

But the Living with the River: Flood History, from the Dreamtime to Now photographic exhibition at Hawkesbury Library Service gives you a fair idea.

The photos were snapped by amateurs, semi and full professional photographers, with a category for digitally enhanced works too.

They show the diverse ways communities engage with the river.

The exhibition is on at the Windsor library until September 30.

And remember to look up when you're there - that ceiling!

The call of the pipes has heralded the upcoming The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in February 2026.
To prepare, we're indulging in a sneaky mid-weeky taste of Scotland on International Tartan Day.
Thank you Flourish PR for the starter kit of Bisko shortbread and Loch Lomond Whiskies. We'll add a touch of stirring music, a dash of cultural pride and a little tartan while we work today to celebrate our Scottish ancestry.
Slàinte Mhath!
