One thing I love about what I do is speaking with some incredible artists especially in the Oz music scene. In the last few months I have had the opportunity to speak with Andrew Farriss from INXS and Ross Wilson who is celebrating his 60th anniversary in 2025.

Both of these interviews have been turned into articles and printed in a very cool magazine called Jimmy Hornet. Big thanks to the editor Anthea for creating such a visual treat. Each edition is carefully curated and produced from her garage in Melbourne.

In fact it is more like a coffee table book that you will just keep picking up and re-reading!

This month's issue is out now and you can buy it directly from Jimmy Hornet. And you can check out this months article about the music legend Ross Wilson.

If you want to check out the audio podcast of both interviews and more at Long Way To The Top on iHeart and Apple.

I have to say a few things about the Hall of Fame Ozzy Osbourne induction....

Firstly, Ozzy still rocks, even from his wheelchair (which is insane by the way). He looks so frail now but what a life and legacy the guy has built.

Secondly to see Wolfgang Van Halen to a Randy Rhodes solo is even more insane and wow who would have thought that would happen.

Lastly, Jelly Roll shouldn't have even tried to match Ozzy's vocal range, even in a tribute. Billy Idol nearly got there, Maynard did the best job. At the end of the day, they were all singing to their music idol. What an honour!

Check out my latest episode of Long Way to the Top...

With hits like Ballroom Blitz, Fox on the Run and Hellraiser, it is safe to say they ruled the Glam Rock scene. I chat with Andy Scott from The Sweet. In a very short half and hour we dive back into the history of The Sweet.

🎸 How Marc Bolan from T-Rex was partly responsible for their success.

🎸 Which Aussie music manager behind the sound of the Sweet and also gave Tina Turner one of her biggest hits..."The Best"

🎸 The secret Andy Scott had to keep right before Brian was sacked.

The best part of what I do, even when I am on holidays, is getting to chat with absolute music legends like this guy. Andy Scott from Sweet. I asked Andy about the influence of Marc Bolan on the band's glam rock persona.

You gotta check this out

This week's episode is a chat with Alan Clayton from UK band the Dirty Strangers, possibly the most famous band you have never heard of. Alan has toked with Bob Marley, performed with Bobby Keys and partied with Keith Richards. And performed with both Keith and Ronnie Wood.

Such a great chat and brilliant new album called Hunter's Moon. Grab yourself a cold one, sit back and enjoy Long Way to the Top. The link is in the comments.

I am super excited to share a phenomenal interview with John Illsley from Dire Straits. We spoke about his love of music, his time in Dire Straits, his painting and how the Dire Straits experience all ended.

We also spoke about his involvement in the new song to bring awareness to Parkinson's Disease called Think Loud (https://found.ee/ThinkLoud) featuring Leo Sayer, Josh Phillips, Marcella Detroit & Stuart Elliot. John revealed his association to the disease through it's effects on his his sister.

A few days ago I came across a project that involved a whole bunch of great artists singing to bring awareness to Parkinson's Disease called Think Loud. I contacted Leo Sayer who was the main singer and I was directed to two amazing guys. Ian Grant who manages Big Country and who is battling PD himself, and Josh Phillips, keyboardist for Procol Harum.

I spoke with Josh about his musical journey and the whole Think Loud project. The episode was a bunch of fun and the work these guys are doing is so important in trying to find a cure for this terrible debilitating disease.

Love 70's, 80's and 90's bands? Then this podcast is for you! As one of the hosts of The Bad Boys Podcast and radio announcer I have had the fortune to speak with so many incredible bands. And they were just sitting collecting dust on the hard drive. With the Easter break I thought what a perfect time to revive some of the old interviews.

That was the start of the rabbit hole!

40+ interviews later, and some serious editing, I have launched a brand new podcast and the first bunch are up and ready for listening. The show is called Long Way to the Top.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did chatting with these legends.

The first six shows include:

Diesel • Journey (Neal Schon) • Doug Aldrich from Whitesnake & The Dead Daisies • Leo Sayer • Steve Kilbey from The Church • Jefferson Starship

There will be more podcasts loaded everyday from musicians like Reef, Cheap Trick, Gavin Rossdale, The Black Sorrows, The Stranglers, the list just goes on!

What Makes Good Guys Become Such Bad Boys?

This is the show that looks at the big issues that men face with two guys that have been there, done that and got locked up for it.

Fresh from Cell 53 with stories to tell that will make you wonder how good men can become such bad boys. Live chats, interviews and the occasional bad prison joke.

It is time to get real and get raw with Shayne Brian and Darren J Carver, the Bad Boys.

A massive thank you to the Manchester Band - Freedom of the City for the use of their song "Bad Taste" in our intro. Check them out, like their page and take a listen to their music - https://www.facebook.com/freedomofthecity/. Thanks lads! Love the work. It has made our podcast sound kick-arse!
