📢 📢 Exciting news from Freckle Studio 📢 📢

We are delighted to announce that Freckle Studio is changing ownership. Founder Kelly Lofberg, is handing over the leadership and business to Freckle’s Senior Creative Producer, Tennille Hogan.

The sale will be completed on 30 June 2022, with Tennille continuing to provide the same great services and support as the business owner from 1 July 2022.

For you, there won't be any change to the awesome services that you’ve come to expect.

Since creating Freckle Studio, we have built a successful business model, working with leaders across sectors, providing quality, cost effective and awesome visual communications that connect with an audience. Tennille has been the creative force behind that success.
Freckle Studio will continue to provide excellent service to our existing clients as well as new ones. It’s an exciting new chapter in Freckle’s continued growth.

Before we get into the Christmas fun fact... we just wanted to say we think you are sleighing it!

DID you know that 1n 1647, the English parliament passed a law that made Christmas illegal? Sleigh, what?! 🤦‍♀️

Oliver Cromwell, who considered feasting and revelry on what was supposed to be a holy day to be immoral, banned the Christmas festivities. The ban was lifted only when Cromwell lost power in 1660.

DID you know that the origin of Christmas trees goes way back to ancient Egyptians and Romans . They used evergreen trees like fir or pine trees, wreaths, and garlands. 🎅

And the use of modern Christmas trees started in Germany in the 16th century. Instead of the glitzy decorations, they were decorated with fruits and nuts.

Did you know.... Serifs originated from the first official Greek writings on stone and in Latin alphabet with inscriptional lettering—words carved into stone in Roman antiquity. But in typography, a serif is a small line or stroke regularly attached to the end of a larger stroke in a letter or symbol within a particular font or family of fonts.

This week, we are talking about popular Aussie icon the emu. 🦃🦃 😆 🇦🇺🇦🇺

Sure other birds can fly! But can they run holding a very straight face clocking more than 50kms per hour? No. No they can't.

Other fun facts about the Aussie icon include
🦃 They have TWO sets of eyelids
🦃 Emus are the only birds with calf muscles
🦃 Their legs are sooo strong they can jump over 2m straight up
🦃 Like the kangaroo, emus can't walk backwards
🦃 There is no emu emoji.
