🎭 Talent Spotlight: Krystie Grubba as Christine in Women of Twilight

We’re thrilled to spotlight Krystie, who takes on the role of Christine in the powerful and thought-provoking drama Women of Twilight. Stepping into a character caught in the grips of post-war struggle and societal judgment, Krystie embraces this challenging role with heart, courage, and commitment.

Christine’s journey is one of strength, vulnerability, and resilience—an emotional thread in a story that sheds light on the hidden lives of u***d mothers in 1950s Britain. We can’t wait to see Krystie bring this important role to life on stage.

Women of Twilight is a gritty, gripping piece of theatre that unearths the untold stories of women forced to the margins, and the bonds they form in the darkest of places.

A huge shout out to Sydney based “Howell Elite Actor’ Daisy Alexis for her outstanding performance in the play; Mrs Warren’s Profession - Pavilion Theatre - Castle Hill

Daniel Conway’s review says it all;

Vivie, played by Daisy Alexis.

“ Vivie is quick, fierce and intensely moral, a combination that could easily be one-dimensional if played incorrectly. Daisy Alexis adds so much depth and warmth to her portrayal. The scenes shared by Searle and Alexis are the highlights of the show in my opinion and allow both actresses to show their talent.

Alexis shows warmth and care as she gives her mother the grace and understanding of her choices at the end of Act Two, contrasted beautifully with the wounded anger and a changing rougher inflection of Searle in the concluding scene. These women created fully realised characters and shone on stage “.

The Sydney Fringe Festival is the largest independent arts festival in NSW - if you’re in Sydney, you should definitely check it out. Lana’s show will be on during 10-14th of September.

A HUGE congratulations to Lucy Bowyer for her role in the Tina Turner Musical playing Young Anna-Mae. The Howell Team had the privilege of watching Lucy perform last night, in her home state, at 🩷

Lucy’s talent and passion created such an amazing atmosphere on stage. We are so proud of you Lucy!

CALLBACK! 🎶

A huge shoutout to Gold Coast based performer Danielle Gibson on receiving callbacks for multiple musical theatre productions this month!

Danielle has had a huge few weeks flying to Melbourne and Sydney for auditions and now she’s up to callbacks and finals for some of Australia’s major upcoming productions!

Well done Danielle, we are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what’s next for you 🩷
