When I started my business

I thought “booked out” was the dream.

And then it happened.
Fast.
Faster than I was ready for.

Clients rolled in.
Work piled up.
Enquiries didn’t stop.
And suddenly I was “successful”

but drowning.

I was juggling late-night work with early-morning toddler chaos.
Long hours.
No boundaries.
No systems.
No automations.
Just me, my laptop, and a whole lot of stress.

I remember sitting on the floor one night, laptop open, toddler climbing on me, asking myself:
“How the hell am I supposed to keep this going?”

I wasn’t burnt out because business was slow.
I was burnt out because it grew faster than I did.

I didn’t have systems.
I didn’t have support.
I didn’t have structure.
I just had demand - and no way to manage it without sacrificing myself.

That was my turning point.

I realised being “booked out” means nothing
if it comes at the expense of your health, your time, or your family.

So I slowed down and rebuilt.
I created systems.
Automations.
Boundaries.
Processes.
A business that WORKED - not one that worked me into the ground.

And the second I did that?
Everything shifted.

The burnout eased.
The overwhelm dropped.
My time came back.
And I went from barely coping

to genuinely thriving.
