It is literally mind-blowing!! I've already started incorporating it to complete daily tasks and using it to be more efficient in my business.

Am I scared, I'll be replaced by a robot? Hell no. Here's why !!!

Just because you don’t have videos, it’s doesn’t mean you can’t create beautiful reels. 🎥

Reels are more engaging than static posts and your content is more likely to be seen by more sets of eyes if you’re creating reels.

Life update: I got married! Oh, and I turned 40, all in the same weekend!! 💍

The weekend of the 25th/26th of February 2023 will go down in history as one of my favourite weekends EVER.

On Saturday, thirty of our friends and family gathered for what they thought would be my 40th b’day party. We had other plans. A surprise wedding! 🎉

We whisked our guests off to a beautiful location in Townsville city where we tied the knot, then ate, drank and danced the afternoon day.

After almost 9 years together and 2 kids, we finally did it.

Looking forward to doing life with my HUSBAND and my two little people.

Last week I was asked to speak at Explore Property Mackay's annual Thrive conference.

What an epic day.

As a small business that works from home, my colleagues are my 8-month-old daughter ( who sleeps through most of my conversations), and my dog.

Not exactly what I would call an enviable work culture!

It was SO.DAMN.NICE to be surrounded by so many familiar smiling faces as well as be a part of a phenomenal group of speakers who were so forthcoming in their wins, losses, and success practices.

Kath Koschel, the founder of Kindness Factory told her epic story of resilience in the face of multiple physical and mental setbacks and how showing kindness inspired millions of others to do the same.

Three things I'm implementing in my work and personal life post-conference:

▶ Practising gratitude every day. I'm committing to writing down three things every day that I'm grateful for.
▶ Fish where there are fish. Self-explanatory, but I really like this analogy.
▶ Implementing sensory acuity. This is a term I've never heard before. It's having the self-awareness to know what is working and what is not. Basically - trust your gut.

And with that.. I'm off to write down three things I'm grateful for!🙌🏽

If you haven’t got one yet, go get yourself a hype man.

Or a hype girl, a hype person, just someone who sends you flippin’ excellent supportive messages like this.

My hype man is my partner – Matt.

In 2019 I started a side hustle, that quickly turned into a business, which quickly turned into * a lot* of overwhelm from working a full-time job plus the stress of running a business.

Over the space of the next 2 years, I slowly dropped back from 5 days of full-time paid work, to 4 days to 3 days, till Matt looked at me one day and said “ it’s time”.

Part petrified and part pumped, I took the plunge and have now been happily self-employed for 18 months.

18 months ! I have successfully managed to run a business for 912 days!!

That business has since morphed into another business, Social Road which combines my love of social media and real estate.

Some days run seamlessly, some days are filled with self-doubt.

Then some days, all you need is your hype man to send you a message like this and then *kaboom*, your confidence is sky high and you're back in the room
