🚨 Latest update on the Worrowing Heights fire - threat downgraded 🚨
Fire activity across the fire ground has eased, and the threat to the Worrowing Heights community has reduced.
Residents in Worrowing Heights, Sanctuary Point, Old Erowal Bay and Erowal Bay should continue to monitor the situation and know what you will do if the fire threatens.
Crews may undertake backburns this evening to help contain the fire, so people in the area may notice an increase in fire activity as these burns are conducted.

🚨 LATEST INFO ON THE WORROWING HEIGHTS FIRE 🚨
Emergency Warning: Larmer Av, Worrowing Heights (Shoalhaven LGA) - Too Late To Leave - Worrowing Heights. Prepare Now - Sanctuary Point, Old Erowal Bay and Erowal Bay.
The fire is burning in the Worrowing Heights area under variable north westerly winds , north of Sanctuary Point, south of The Wool Rd and to the west and east of Larmer Ave and is not yet controlled.
People in the Worrowing Heights area, it is too late to leave. Seek shelter in a solid structure such as a house to protect yourself from the heat of the fire. Close all windows and doors and shelter in a room on the other side of the house from the approaching fire. Those in the area of Sanctuary Point, Old Erowal Bay and Erowal Bay should prepare now.
