A classic prawn cocktail — simple, nostalgic and always a crowd-pleaser. Sweet Australian tiger prawns, crisp iceberg and a creamy, tangy dressing that comes together in minutes. Perfect for easy entertaining or when you want something that feels a little bit special without the fuss.
Cocktail sauce
Mix together Kewpie mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, a pinch of Aleppo chilli or cayenne, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
To assemble
Layer crisp iceberg lettuce and peeled cooked Australian tiger prawns in a pretty glass. Spoon over the sauce, then finish with a scatter of diced cucumber, finely sliced shallots and chives. Serve with a lime wedge on the side.
