All that’s wrong with this government in one line! Their motus operandi in action:
1. Go against the will of 75% of Australians who want the logging of our old growth forests to end (and the 80% of Labor and Greens voters who have put them in their jobs).
2. Put the interests of lobbies and small, nasty polluting, unsustainable industries (whether Forestry NSW or Tasmanian salmon) ahead of people’s health and interests
2. Prepared to use any tricks and loopholes to go around court decisions that don’t go their way but design new laws to jail anyone who doesn’t agree with what they do.
3. Consistently ignore the science.

They are just not fit to govern.
No one is holding the hose.
It’s time for a third way.

However, in NSW right now, Premier Minns government is pursuing a carbon credits scheme for native forests. You can add speak up for forests, wildlife and climate with us.

🗣️Tell Premier Minns - You can protect forests now without carbon credits.

🌳Native forests need secure protection and an end to native forest logging nationwide is possible if only parliamentarians in NSW, Tasmania, QLD and in Albanese's government would wake up and make the important move. Protecting forests is real climate action.

🛑 In NSW, native forests that are vital for koalas and Greater Gliders are being logged at a financial loss. A shocking 96% of what is destroyed is turned into low-value, short-lived products like garden tomato stakes, woodchips, firewood or pallets. Only 4% end up as flooring or furniture.

With the next NSW state budget soon to be announced, we’re putting pressure on Premier Minns and the NSW Treasurer to end this madness NOW. Sign letter at the 🔗 in our bio.

🔥Victoria is burning! If you are feeling smoked out today that’s because Environment Department has set fire to some of our most valuable forests, from Kinglake to the Yarra Ranges, hence ignoring scientific advise that burnt forest is less resistant to fire than untouched forest and adding to the extinction toll, as millions of insects and animals will be killed including endangered species that are literally running out of places to live. We are not even talking about the impact on the health of communities all over the state including in Melbourne as the air is unbreathable.
As defunct VicForests has essentially been rolled into the Environment Department, someone needs to look into what is going on here - why these massive planned burns against scientific advice, the lack of accountability and transparency as community has no say nor recourse on any of this, the lack of environmental controls (ironic from the environmental dept) as forests that are known home to endangered species are being burnt to the ground and also take a closer look at salvage logging practices in the wake of these planned fires (again against scientific advice). All in all you have to wonder if VicForests’ logging & destruction culture is now ingrained and whether this is yet another example of ‘jobs for the boys’.

THE GIANTS transports the audience into the heart of Australia’s ancient forests: home to some of the oldest and tallest trees on earth. It is a world of epic proportions which is brought to Iife on screen with a mix of cinematography and 3D scan animation. The work draws attention to the plight of these Gondwana-era forests which are under threat from logging and mining.

GET ON WITH IT! End Native Forest Logging. Make the Great Koala National Park. Stop prescribed burns.

A loud call for Labor to get on with protecting our forests if they want our votes at the next Fed Election. These extraordinary forests are worth more standing.

Some photos of signs for the march we attended in Naarm outside of Peter Khalil’s office in Brunswick. Peter does not support an end to native forest logging or greater environmental protections despite ‘representing’ one of the most progressive electorates in the country. Time for a change.
