The Gracemere RSL Sub Branch have commemorated Korean Veterans’ Day with a memorial and lunch at the RSL Gracemere.

Guests of honour were the sub-branch’s last surviving Korean Veterans, Barrie Devine and Bob Hay.

A man has died following a single-vehicle traffic crash at Mt Gardiner in the Livingstone Shire yesterday.

A police spokesperson said around 11.50am, police and emergency services were called to a vehicle rollover on Marlborough Road after a Prime Mover left the roadway and rolled down a steep embankment.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 49-year-old man from Victoria, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit (FCU) are investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision is urged to contact police.

Six goals from co-captain Thomas Hutchieson sealed a winning end to the AFL Capricornia senior men’s season for Brothers.

The Roos, who fell short in qualifying for finals, stunned BITS by 14 points at Kele Park last Saturday.

Hutchieson produced a career-best performance at senior level, booting more than half of his side’s goals in the 11.8 (74) to 9.6 (60) victory.

Nerimbera stunned Frenchville last Friday night to move back into a Football Queensland Premier League Central Coast women’s finals position.

The Magpies lashed in five goals across the opening 32 minutes of the contest at Ryan Park, dismantling the home side in a rapid-fire thrashing.

Nerimbera raced out to a 5-0 lead but were unable to improve on it throughout the remaining 58 minutes of the match.

Nerimbera’s Rojahne Bembridge was the clear standout in a match played in awfully wet conditions......

7-Eleven is opening its first Central Queensland stores over the next two weeks as the international convenience store chain expands its network into the region.

The Yeppoon store on Homemaker Drive will officially open its doors on Wednesday, 20 August, followed by the Rockhampton store on the corner of Yaamba Road and Boland St, opening on Tuesday, 26 August.
