🚧 Changed traffic conditions for Sackville Ferry closure

🚨 Motorists are advised the Sackville Ferry service will be closed for one day next week to complete flood resilience work started earlier this month.

📅 The closure from 9am to 2.30pm on Thursday 29 June for road line marking has been scheduled to avoid weekends, school holidays and peak hours while reducing disturbance to community members travelling to and from work or school.

⛴ The ferry service will remain open during other hours.

🚨 Emergency services needing to cross the river during the service closure will be able to go through with a delay of around 20 minutes to allow for the resetting of the crossing to provide ferry service.

🚘 Motorists on the western side of the river will need to detour via Western Portland Road and motorists on the eastern side of the river will need to detour via River Road.
