It's good to see that justice may finally prevail for Amy's family. It won't bring their daughter/niece/mother back, but at least the person responsible may soon be held to account.

We are hard at working on Season 2 of the award-winning true crime podcast The Truth About Amy. After establishing in Season 1 that Amy could not have shot herself, WA Police has reopened the investigation and is preparing a brief for the Director of Public Prosecutions who will determine whether the case is strong enough to prosecute. Our new evidence and interviews will also be showcased in a second 7NEWS Spotlight Special which will shine a light on how this gross injustice was perpetuated and why it's not too late to overcome. Gwen Grover was discovered in her car in Cairns with a fatal gunshot wound to the head and clutching the barrel of a long rifle.

The series is investigating the death of Amy Wensley, a 24-year-old mum, that was originally ruled a su***de.

But after a 7NEWS investigation, a homicide probe was opened.

A woman is killed at least once a week in Australia - more often than not they're the victims of domestic violence.

But that's just the ones we know about because many women's deaths are written off as su***de or accident before a proper forensic investigation can occur.

These are the Hidden Homicides.

In the case of Amy Wensley, authorities thought it was too late to reconcile.

Amy's family and friends will be attending the 34th March against Domestic and Family Violence.
Amy was a victim of Domestic Violence. She did not report the abuse to police but she reported it to friends and family and it was witnessed first hand on multiple occasions.

Nothing big can happen without a core team at the centre who are committed to making it happen. Today, we learned that a member of our Lady Vanishes team, June (aka Bill Clydesdale), has passed away. We often talked about June as one of Sally's Angels - a person who has provided help and support to Sally and us throughout, answering questions from listeners online, providing us with any insight she can find - a truly kind, courageous person and one that we're so glad we met (albeit virtually) through this tumultuous journey. Thinking of June's family during this difficult time - June was one of a kind and we'll miss her dearly. Alison, Bryan, Sally E and Marc Wright xx
