An emergency warning for residents that it is too late to leave and to take shelter immediately has been issued for a fire at Goormalibee.
The warning has been issued for Broken Creek, Goomalibee and Tarnook.
Residents are warned they are in danger and to act now, with the safest option being to take shelter indoors immediately.
The grassfire, which is not yet under control, is travelling from Tarnook Rd east towards Carrol Rd.
If you cannot get indoors, last resort options include the middle of a large open area like a ploughed paddock or sporting reserve or getting into a large body of water like a dam, lake, river or in-ground pool.
If you are travelling, do not enter the warning area.
Once indoors with pets, close all exterior doors, windows and vents, turn off cooling systems and be in a room with two exits where you can watch the fire.
If your home catches on fire and the conditions inside become unbearable, get out and go to an area that has already been burnt.
