Doing some good in a new neighborhood with episode 87! 💙

I chatted with about writing her (women's fiction) debut that includes themes of philanthropy, defining ambition, familial obligations, and what it really means to "have it all" - aka the myth we tell ourselves.

And since philanthropy is near and dear to Alisha's heart, she is using her book tour to help raise funds for some incredible causes, like , a female driven nonprofit building community and celebrating Latina culture. 🙌

Come laugh with us on the podcast about motherhood, new jobs, and culture clashes! Available through 🔗 in bio..

Celebrating friend of the podcast Cara Dion, Romance Author holiday novella release, Holly Jolly Heresy! Congrats!! 🎉👏 It's got that Fleabag energy with an HEA. 🎄

It also had me thinking about that time we talked about the importance of the and chronic illness rep in that space, offering nuanced insights for both lived in experience and fictionalized characters. A great topic that doesn't appear in all of her books but shows up in varying degrees.

Find and enjoy Holly Jolly Heresy on Kindle Unlimited this holiday season. Then if you're feeling spry, come join us on the podcast for Cara's episode! 💖

Til the season of Yule on episode 86! 🎄

I chatted with on blending magic, game-influenced lore, and emotional stakes for her cozy holiday, witchy romance debut, A Spell for Midwinter's Heart.

This one was super special since we both work in video games. Best of all, she's a video writer! Morgan breaks down similarities or differences in writing games versus novels and provides a Jim Henson deep cut that I'll be adding to my holiday playlist, thank you very much. 💖

Come join us as we chat about old traditions rooted in Yule and character thematics. Available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Audible, YouTube, etc.

round-up incoming part 2 - narrator version! ✨

Villian and Vixens 2025 was a banger event that I cannot say enough good things about. It may have been over a month ago, but it lives rent-free in my head. 👀

Real talk: I LOVE audiobook . I've spent hours with them on car-rides, cooking, cleaning or even at my desk - Shhhhh! Don't tell anyone about the spicy scenes. As a podcaster, I'm a somewhat audio creator and I just had to go around and gush with the narrators. 💕

Ya know, we have some things in common - me to a much lesser extent:
Hours in a hot booth? With you, girlie pop 💃
Trying not to cough or have flem in your voice? Been there 😜
Frustrated with a certain line or retake? I'm screaming already 😱🙀
Emotional during a scene cause reasons? SOBBING 😭

And y'all know as an interviewer, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. While having lovely chats with them, I asked them the A QUESTION(s). Dun Dun duhhhhhh

What audiobook of theirs would they would recommend? Maybe, one showing their talents as a narrator? The drama, darling! The humor! The romance! The dark and dangerous! 🎭 They are after all.

Here are narrators I met and the audiobooks where they show UP and show OUT. 🎙 But let's be honest, they do that on all of their .

This one got unexpectedly personal for me during editing. A big reason why it took so long to release.

We have loved ones who suffer from addiction and it's important to have honest and hopeful portryals (in fiction or anywhere) of what comes during and after recovery 💜

I had the wonderful pleasure to chat with about portrayals of realistic recovery from addiction in the Recovering Good Girls Series and how resilience shapes character arcs, emotional truths, and heals trauma. We explore the track of her own recovery and the importance of community, character nuances, and the impact of resilience for character growth.

In the mood for a cast of unforgettable characters and candid discussions? - then you'll want to check out the Recovering Good Girls series as well as our episode! 🌹 Episode available now wherever you get podcasts. 🎙️

Actually, why choose? 😅🤔 Amiright?

What kind of genres or sub-genres would you like to hear about from an author who writes in that category? If you're like me and can't decided - gimme ALL THE OPTIONS - then how would you rank them?

Down the rabbit hole we go, romantics! 🐇 Let's traverse together.

And if you want to explore more genres or subgenres, you can find the RtS podcast wherever you listen to podcasts. 🎙️ Or ya know, the 🔗 of my bio works too.

Let's settle this once and for all. For storytelling, it's important to treat the animals on the same tier as a human character because we empathize through them. 🐕

Don't believe me? I did a whole podcasts episode about it because THAT'S how important dogs are to people and the stories we tell. 🙌

After hearing discourse around an indie author flexing about offing a dog in her novel, I couldn't help but think of the chat I had with one of my good friends and all time fav guests, Amber Royer Author. She opened my eyes about the pivotal role animals play in a storyline and how they aren't just props in a scene.

Honestly, you want some cute pets who live and are an extension of their owners? Grab her cozy mystery series STAT and support stories that have animals helping solving crimes!!

Oh my! It's a May schedule with authors who chat about your favorite romance tropes, plotlines and sub-genres. 💃

First, Sarah Hawley shows versatility in her ability to write that is a layered treat of darker narratives, brutal high-stakes, and romantasy to boot! ✨

Then, I tag down Thea Claire to gab with me all about writing romance with messy, complex characters who are recovering, finding their tribe, and defining love and boundaries in their own terms along the way. Plus, ren fairs and how writing became her own catharsis in recovery! Out 5/12. 👑

Finally, two of the three phenomenal talents of Juicy Details Editing geek out with me about all things romance, and how the importance of editing is bringing out the best in a story. Plus, going the extra mile to help writers find the right fit - even if it's not with them. Bonus: we rant a little about AI. So there's that. Haha. 🎀

Catch the Romancing the Story podcast to chat fav stories and hang out! Available now wherever you get podcasts. 🎙️

Brutal Trails. Brewing Rebellion. A Cruel Fae Kingdom. A fiery protagonist determined to save herself.

✨Aaaaaaannd Romantasy. ✨

I chatted with Sarah Hawley about occupying space in darker narratives and high-stakes fantasy stories and how they compare to her lighter rom-com books. The first in The Shards of Magic Series, Servant of Earth, grapples with questions of power and responsibility and the consequences of those that act and others that don’t - as well as the intersection of allegory in fighting oppressors and escapism for ourselves.

You're not gonna want to miss this episode - then grab the book to binge-read! 🗡️ Available now wherever you get podcasts. 🎙️
