Congratulations Peter & Julie Button, Ramsey Park Studs, on being awarded Life Membership of the Hampshire Down Breeders Association. 🎉🥂🍾

The Australian Hampshire Down Breeders Association is proud to announce that Peter and Julie Button, of Ramsay Park Studs, have been awarded Life Membership of our Association.

Peter and Julie have been exhibiting Hampshire Downs at the Adelaide Royal Show since 1994, contributing enormously to the breed and to the sheep industry over many years. Their passion, dedication, and commitment to excellence has left a lasting mark on the Hampshire Down breed.

Notable Hamps include Supreme Shortwool Rams at Adelaide Royal with rams ‘Evil’ and ‘Dermy’. Another ram 77 has been one of the greatest breeding sires throughout not only Australia but South America too.

It was a privilege to present this honour to them today at the Adelaide Royal Show in what is their final showing of Hampshire Downs.

Please join us in congratulating Peter and Julie on this well-deserved recognition! 👏🐑

It’s a secret we’ve been hiding for a little while, and a beautiful surprise at the end of judging today.

The Australian Sheep & Wool Show is held during the third week of July, encompassing the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. YAYYY!!! It has taken a while but we finally got there!

Much more important than having all your ducks in a row - we finally got all our sheep in a row!

Yes, all ten Heritage breeds together, in a row. And what a good looking row of sheep and breeders it is. 😍 And they were all beautifully behaved. So were the sheep!! 😉😂

Australian Sheep & Wool Show 2025 - ROMNEY

As there were only two exhibits in the Romney classes, both the ram and ewe were judged concurrently.

Australian Sheep & Wool Show 2025 - CHEVIOT

Congratulations to Grand Ridge and Seaview on being awarded Champion Cheviot ram and Reserve Champion Cheviot ram at the 2025 Australian Sheep & Wool Show.

Congratulations to Chain Gate on being awarded Champion Cheviot ewe and Reserve Champion Cheviot ewe.

Grand Ridge & Seaview went on to win both Group classes and Most Successful Exhibitor and Chain Gate won Supreme Champion Exhibit with their beautiful Cheviot ewe.
