We just finished a 3.5-day field trip in Chile, bringing together leading mining companies from across the Americas for an immersive technical and networking experience.

The field trip was designed to deepen understanding of Iron Oxide–Apatite (IOA) and Iron Oxide–Copper–Gold (IOCG) systems, connect with local expertise, and strengthen partnerships across the exploration ecosystem.

Participants travelled to Copiapó, visiting key Chilean mining operations: Los Colorados (CMP), Mantoverde (Capstone Copper), and Candelaria (Lundin Mining) — guided by Dr. Irene Del Real, a renowned geologist and expert in Chile’s IOCG systems.

Through a combination of fieldwork, technical discussions, and knowledge exchange, the experience provided a unique opportunity to see world-class deposits up close and explore how space-enabled geoscience technologies are transforming mineral exploration.

This initiative reflects Fleet Space’s commitment to education, innovation, and collaboration - creating spaces where industry leaders come together to advance the future of exploration.
