Yeehaw!! Today at Hotel Westwood, Country & Westwood presents The Bakersfield Glee Club playing 2 h***y tonk sets from 6:30pm. I'll be playing the twangin' tunes from 4:30pm too...get your dancing boots on. See you there!!!

When a band and a venue name are both pun-based they seem like a perfect match, so it's hard to work out why it's taken so long for us to make it as far west as Footscray.

Who cares? I've been on the punter-side of the Westwood stage enough to know it's a great venue and am looking forward to trying the band side and their renowned sound rig from behind the mic.

I hear these days, in addition to fine music and tap beer, they specialise in burgers (Goldie Boy) and pies (Pie Thief) - I'm wondering why I'm not there right now.

Sunday is not too far away and I'm looking forward to seeing you there for two sets of cracking h***y-tonk from 6.30pm, plus beer, pies and burgers!
