Red Bluff in Kalbarri National Park is an easy 6 hour drive north from Perth. Known for its striking rust-red sea cliffs and migratory whale watching (June–October), it’s perfect for camper trailer adventures. While you can’t stay in the park itself, there are several options in the immediate vicinity with camper-appropriate sites.
Have you been to Red Bluff?? We’d love to see your pics 😊

The Regent Parrot (Polytelis anthopeplus) is a striking parrot recognised by its brilliant yellow plumage, red and blue-black wing patches, red or pink bill and long tapering tail. Known for its loud, distinctive call, the Regent Parrot (locally known as ‘smokers’ in Western Australia) inhabits two separate regions as two isolated sub-species: eastern populations live in riverine woodlands across parts of New South Wales (endangered), Victoria (vulnerable) and South Australia, while western populations are more common in WA’s open woodlands. It feeds on seeds, crops (especially wheat), buds, flowers and insects, often foraging on the ground or in tree canopies. This beauty was photographed along the Wandering-Narrogin Road near Dryandra Woodland National Park, the largest remnant stand of native vegetation in WA’s western Wheatbelt. Have you seen the Regent Parrot on your camper trailer adventures??

Interested in the compact yet mighty Jayco JPod-X? Check out this recent video review from our friends at Caravan World on YouTube! They picked it up back in August 2024 and since then it’s done the rounds through the Flinders Ranges, travelled up the East Coast and, more recently, tackled more than 2000km across Gippsland and Kosciuszko. EXCITING NEWS: After six long years of closure Gunlom Falls of Kakadu National Park, NT, is reopening to the public! Now, the road in can get a bit rough, so only those with offroad camper trailers are recommended to drive in, though, you can easily leave your trailer before the rougher road begins and just take the 4WD 👍🏼
TIP: Refer to the Kakadu Access Report to check for road and weather conditions before setting off.
