Hi Take 5ers, we have received the following message from Marilyn, who asks: My bestie Joan* got divorced 5 years ago. A few months ago, over coffee, she told me that she has a new partner. I was delighted for her and invited him to lunch at my flat with a group of our friends. I am planning to have good food, drinks, and enjoy time in a relaxed social setting. Joan is worried about her boyfriend’s cat allergies. I have two cats. Both normally hide when people are over. She asked me to put them in the pantry so as to not aggravate his allergies. I reminded her that it is my home, and I don't want my cats to be stressed and uncomfortable. She is persisting. Now I am unsure what I should do? *Name has been changed.
