Flashback to 1923 🌟 The 'Cowra Free Press' would share a twice-weekly gossip column with all the latest news and rumours from across our towns and villages. 📝

From the Gooloogong Gossip to Wattamondara Whispers and Morongla Messages, there was certainly a lot of news on everything from sport, to the weather, weddings, fundraisers and more.

Our local newspapers have changed a lot over more than a century, but we're always here to report the latest news, and importantly, to share our local stories. 🙌

1. Woman and baby in truck on Soldier Settler block. Inscription on back of photo reads: [sic] "A view of portion of the rice, showing two ditches filled with water." - Cowra, NSW
2. Historic image of the low level bridge
3. Wattamondara Whispers' report on a Progress Association.
