I really loved my chat as a guest on The Kate Toon Show and talking about how podcasting can support your ADPIP and grow your audience.

Wondering what an ADPIP is? It's an Automated Digital Passive Income Product which Kate discusses in detail in her book 'Six Figures While you Sleep'.

What a week! One of highs and not-so highs.

2 clients launched their podcasts this week. And both of them have hit top 10 in their respective categories in the Apple Podcasts charts - #2 and #6. 🥳👏

This week was also the 6-year anniversary of my husband, Simon's passing...and one of the hardest anniversaries to be honest. Because our kids are 16 & 14 now...and I can't express how much I wish he was here to help guide them through life. Solo parenting is a tough gig!

But whilst it was tough and we were sad, I was reflecting on the fact that I may not be doing what I do today, if not for his diagnosis of terminal cancer back in 2016.

Back then I had been in business for about 4 years as a Virtual Assistant. I first dipped my toe into the podcasting waters back in 2015 when I helped a client organise the first podcasting conference in the southern hemisphere, We Are Podcast. From there, I got certified in podcast production and management and started incorporating podcast support services.

I clearly remember the day in May 2016 when the doctor delivered the shattering diagnosis of terminal pancreatic cancer. It felt like the world stopped spinning whilst trying to digest WTF that actually meant. Si & I didn't have the perfect marriage...in fact, we were separated when he got sick. But that made no difference to me. Family, love, compassion and kindness are everything to me and the life that we knew changed that day.

Through the difficult times (and a lot of talking/crying/panicking to my biz bestie) came the decision to niche my business services and dive head-first into the world of podcasting. In October 2016, I registered Podcast VA and went about building a business where I could step out to be there for Simon & and the kids when needed. This business had to be successful or I was back to finding a job when my babies would need me the most.

Si passed on 24 September 2018 (he battled that bu**er for longer than most with PC). By that stage, Podcast VA was up and running, I'd built a team, I'd scaled it and was fortunate enough to be able to step out of it and allow the team to keep the wheels turning...at a time when my wheels had stopped.

I am so grateful to so many of you - my family, friends, clients and business connections who helped me get to where I am today. Thank you 🙏

So this week has been a week of highs and not-so-highs. But all-in-all...a good reminder to reflect on where your journey...and celebrate the wins. ❤️

I’m so excited to announce the launch of my new personal brand as your Podcast Mentor & Launch Strategist 🎙️✨

This has been a long-time coming but as with everything in life, it all happens when it's meant to.

I have worked with podcasters to launch, grow and monetise their shows since 2015. I've helped over 250 1:1 clients launch their podcast, and through Podcast VA we've published over 8000 episodes and reached audiences of millions of people internationally.

This new direction and brand offering mentoring and training, as well as strategic launch services reflects the knowledge and experience I have gained in the podcasting industry. I first dipped my toe into the podcasting waters back in 2015 when I helped launch the first podcasting conference in the southern hemisphere, We Are Podcast.
