🎭 The Show Goes On for Mousetrap Theatre Co. Inc.! 🎭

After more than 70 years of entertaining Redcliffe, Mousetrap Theatre is stepping into a brand-new era — and a brand-new home at the Sutton Centre, thanks to support from City of Moreton Bay.
Following more than three years without a permanent stage, the curtain will rise on 24 October for Mousetrap’s first production in their new venue — the comedy Mirandolina!

The refurbished Sutton Centre features a new roof, air conditioning, accessibility upgrades, and a flexible performance space that’s ready to host a whole new season of shows — including the upcoming cabaret 80s Icons - Superstars and Soundtracks, January’s pantomime Robinson Crusoe, and the comedy Inspector Drake and The Perfekt Crime in February.

Mayor Peter Flannery said: “We’re delighted that the show will go on for Mousetrap Theatre, right here in the heart of Redcliffe.”
President Karen Matthews said they couldn't wait to entertain Moreton Bay locals at their new premises.

"The Sutton Centre is a great location that is central to Redcliffe, easy to find, and surrounded by cafes and restaurants where our audiences can have a meal before the show," she said.

"A new space brings new possibilities. We don't know yet what the full potential of the venue is, but we're going to be trying new things as we go along."

📜 A Snapshot of Yesteryear: Ted Walker’s Redcliffe

In 1916, 10-year-old Ted walked an hour to school — and delivered milk before and after classes.

Over his 81 years, he saw Redcliffe grow from rural farmland to bustling suburbia.
He farmed 104 acres near Kippa Ring, ran a milk route from Margate to Scarborough, and drove his 1925 Chevrolet well into old age.
