RC147 | Marking their debut release on Recovery Collective, Jax D and Michon present 'I Calling You' – a low-slung melodic original layered with warm grooves and memorable, free-flowing vocal work. Subtle yet infectious, it's a cut that lingers in the mind long after the final strike.

Amity offers a refined, stripped-back reinterpretation, reducing the track to its essential elements with a sleek minimal touch.
Oren Grey then takes a bolder approach, injecting the remix with darker synth stabs and heightened energy, adding tension while respecting the original's mood.

Also included is a dub mix, tailor-made for late night floors and deeper moments in the set.

Wounded marks the first-ever solo release on Recovery Collective from our brother Leigh Boy, delivering a raw and emotive journey shaped by reflection, tension and healing. Amsterdam-based producer Alex Sharp returns to the label for our 141st release to unveil his latest project, the Kaval Sviri EP – a mesmerising fusion of melodic techno and Bulgarian folklore.

This evocative collection consists of two originals, the title 'Kaval Sviri' and 'Avante Mori' alongside a striking remix of the by the emerging Austrian techno producer Mike Pipes.

'Kaval Sviri,' meaning 'The Flute Plays,' is inspired by a Bulgarian folk tale centered on a shepherd's flute and a story of love and longing. Alex preserves the haunting beauty of the traditional melody while reimagining it through the lens of modern techno, blending hypnotic beats with poignant cultural storytelling.

'Avante Mori' further extends the folkloric inspiration, weaving intricate soundscapes that bridge past and present.

Adding a dynamic plot-twist, Mike Pipes' remix of 'Kaval Sviri' transforms the track into a peak-time anthem, enhancing its energy while respecting its roots. The full 3-track EP is both a tribute to tradition and an invitation to experience dance music as a vessel for storytelling.
