Don't you just love good food and good wine? We've just been along to the Good Food and Wine Festival and it was so good! From October 24 to 26, the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is a foodies paradise, featuring over 200 food, wine, and lifestyle producers from across Australia and they're all fantastic! We indulged in everything from fiery chilli sauces to pungent cheeses, and explored flavours spanning the Margaret River to the Barossa.
Our favourite thing? Watching top chefs and food heroes live on stage as they cooked up a storm, and meeting the makers to sip, sample, and shop their creations. Don’t wait, grab your tickets now and experience Brisbane’s tastiest day out!

Have you been along to the NBL yet this season? We caught our home team the Brisbane Bullets take on Melbourne United at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre and it was so much fun! Even though the scoreboard was not in our favour, the 3x champs came back super strong from almost 20 behind to get within 3 points of the ladder leaders. The NBL games are perfect nights out for the whole family - the energy, the crowd, and the action (both on and off-court!) was awesome. This season is heating up fast, with more home games coming — including big clashes against Queensland rivals the Cairns Taipans, followed by the Sydney Kings. It’s the perfect time to get behind the team and experience the excitement live! If you love fast-paced games, incredible teamwork, and unforgettable moments, the Bullets season is one you won’t want to miss.

Craving some amazing Spanish tapas here in Brisbane? El Botellón Brisbane serves up authentic flavours, creative cocktails, and a lively atmosphere in Chelmer! Footpath dining complements their cozy indoor bar perfectly, and creates a charming and relaxed vibe. We tried the midweek tapas menu, which includes a selection of ever-changing and yummy tapas, plus a drink for just $45 per person! Our menu featured oysters with orange mignonette, pan con tomate, toasted eggplant whip with chickpeas and mojo rojo, grilled chicken with green tomatillo salsa, pickled fennel and onion, and a mix of witlof and radicchio salad with lemon mustard dressing - all were so good! The changing menu ensures that there’s always something new to savour, plus they have a selection of mains as well in case you can't decide on the tapas! Don't you just love a fun comedy theater show? We've just been along to the opening night of awesomely entertaining 'The 39 Steps' at QPAC and it was an absolute treat! This spy themed show was packed with laughs, suspense, and an amazing cast of 4 that brought every twist to life. What's even more amazing is that these 4 actors - Lisa McCune, Ian Stenlake, and The Umbillical Brothers played the part of 130 characters! The stage setting was superb and set the scenes perfectly with some very clever stage magic. Running from 7 to 19 October 2025 at the Playhouse Theatre, this award-winning production is the perfect mix of mystery and fun.
