Have you taken the family to the circus lately?

We took the kids along to and it was such a fun family outing. There was a great mix of laughs, impressive performances and those moments that had us all watching in disbelief. The Human Cannonball and Wheel of Death were definitely some of the biggest thrills of the show!

If you’re looking for something different to do with the family these school holidays, Brophy’s Circus will be at from 18 September to 4 October.

Have you visited Dark Shepherd Brisbane at The Star Brisbane yet?

We had such a delicious dinner here, with a great selection of dishes to share. The Mosxari Plevro was definitely the highlight for us — tender beef short rib with celeriac mash and capsicum sauce, and it was absolutely delicious.

We also tried the Halloumi Chips, Prawn Saganaki, Moreton Bay Bug, Arni Greek Sausage and Hiramasa Kingfish. There was such a lovely variety of flavours, and we really enjoyed being able to try so many different dishes.

For drinks, we had the delicious Adriatic Sour cocktail, along with the Green Beacon Subtropic Hazy Ale and Mythos beers.

If you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a relaxed meal with delicious Mediterranean flavours, add Dark Shepherd to your list and give it a try.

How long has it been since you’ve been to a theme park?

We recently spent the day at Aussie World and had such a fantastic time!

There was something for everyone — from the more extreme thrill rides like SX360, Redback and Dingo Racer, to family favourites like Bug Run, Bombora Bounce and Booma Zooma. SX360 is definitely one for the more adventurous!

We also had fun exploring the new UNREAL Ride Vibe and Good Vibes Trails, giving families another way to explore the park, discover hidden surprises and even go into the draw to win prizes.

We got creative (and a little messy!) in the Slime Lab workshop, played a round of mini golf and explored the Illusionarium. With so much to see and do, there really was something for everyone, making it such a fantastic family day out.

Aussie World is open 10am–4pm Wednesday to Sunday during school term, and 7 days a week during school holidays.

Ready to step into a world of bubbles these school holidays?

has landed at , taking you on an out-of-this-world adventure filled with millions of bubbles, bubble rockets, fire bubbles and giant bubbles that are incredible to see up close.

We had such a fun time watching the show, and getting to meet the cast and have a little behind-the-scenes experience afterwards made it even more special for our family. Stepping onto the stage and getting inside a giant bubble was definitely a highlight for my daughter.

The show is running these school holidays and is suitable for all ages, with tickets from $29.90 and family passes available.

We had such a wonderful time attending the opening night of Anastasia the Musical AU at QPAC. From the stunning costumes and sets to the beautiful music, incredible performances and captivating storyline, every moment brought the magic of Anastasia to life on stage.

What makes a picnic even more delicious?

After discovering Prosciutto di Carpegna PDO at the launch event, we couldn’t wait to enjoy it in a different setting — so we took it outdoors for a picnic!

Have you seen the Resident Evil movies over the years?

We were excited to attend the preview screening of , the latest chapter in the iconic horror franchise. After watching the earlier movies, including the Milla Jovovich films and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, we were curious to see this new take. This time, the story follows a young man who finds himself caught up in a terrifying outbreak while searching for answers, with plenty of horror, action and suspense along the way.

Resident Evil arrives in Australian cinemas on 17 September, so if you’re a fan of the franchise, this one is definitely worth checking out.

What would you do if you were stranded in the Alaskan wilderness with only your best friend by your side?

We had the chance to attend a special preview of , the new adventure thriller starring Brad Pitt, J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe. Following a plane crash, a Special Forces officer and his retired combat dog, Odin, must fight their way through the unforgiving wilderness in a powerful story about survival, courage and the unbreakable bond between a man and his dog.

Heart of the Beast is in Australian cinemas from 24 September.

Are you looking for something fun to do this Sunday? The Springfield Markets at Orion Springfield Central are happening this Sunday, 20 September, from 9am to 4pm, with live music, delicious food, handmade crafts, homewares, art, jewellery, clothing and plenty of local finds. Come along, grab something delicious to eat, enjoy the entertainment and explore the many stalls.
We visited the Orion Markets previously and my daughter and I had such a lovely time wandering around together. There was a DJ playing music while we browsed the stalls, and we also stopped for some delicious food along the way. There was so much to see and discover, making it such a fun and relaxed Sunday outing.
And if you can't make it to Orion, there are two other Springfield Markets to check out too, at Robelle Domain Parklands and Ripley on different weekends.

What a way to spend a morning with the kids at Bridge to Brisbane!

We decided to take on the 5km Blue Run this year because it was the perfect distance for the kids, and I’m so glad we did. We had such a great time running together, enjoying the atmosphere and cheering each other on along the way. Seeing the kids get involved and make it to the finish line made the whole experience even more special.

This year’s Transurban Bridge to Brisbane presented by Brooks Running AU & NZ was extra special as the event celebrated its 30th anniversary, bringing thousands of people together across the 5km and 10km courses.

There was also so much happening beyond the run, with plenty of entertainment and activities throughout the day. We loved watching the amazing Ffc Vou Page and soaking up the atmosphere with everyone celebrating at the finish.

A fun family day, lots of laughs and some very happy memories. Thank you Bridge to Brisbane and Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner for having us along and letting us be part of such a special Brisbane event.
