Don't you love a remake that's as good as the original? We've just caught a special Preview Screening of 'The Roses' and it was a super entertaining movie and as good as the original! Based on the novel written by Warren Adler, The Roses is a modern take on the 1989 film, War of the Roses. Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman are perfect together in their roles as their fortunes switch and resentment grows - it's a really fun movie! The Roses opens in cinemas here in Australia from 4 September!

Do your kids enjoy seeing their favourite books come to life at the movies? The Bad Guys is one of our favourite movies to do this, and they're back for a sequel with The Bad Guys 2! We were super excited to attend the Brisbane Premiere of The Bad Guys 2 and it was awesome! You don't need to be a fan of the books to enjoy The Bad Guys, these animated movies are super fun in their own right. And as much as the kids love it, parents will enjoy this one too as a movie, and most likely having read through so many of these stories with the kids! The Bad Guys 2 is a fantastically fun movie for the whole family - it releases here in Australia 18 September!

Looking for the perfect place to stay on your Brisbane getaway? Or perhaps spoil yourself with a little staycation? The is a wonderful choice in both scenarios! It comes as no surprise to those familiar with the Marriott brand that you will be greeted with friendly and luxurious surroundings from the moment you arrive. Valet parking certainly makes the start of your stay easy, and check-in is a breeze. We stayed in adjoining rooms which is a fantastic choice for families - having the extra space and two bathrooms is such a winner in our books! Facilities here are great - as you can imagine, the pool was a very popular place with the kids, it's partially indoors, heated, and has wonderful views to the city and river. There's a spa and sauna for extra relaxing, or if keeping active is more your thing, there's a fully equiped gym on the same floor. The restaurant doesn't disappoint either, wonderful service, exceptional food, and a wide range of drink options. We enjoyed an amazing dinner and the buffet breakfast was first class, but perhaps both were outshone by the specatucular high tea experience for lunch! A stay at the Marriot Brisbane is simply wonderful, whether on holidays, a family staycation, or business trip, and consider joining their Marriot Bonvoy loyalty program, it's free and your Marriott experience won't disappoint!

Ever been caught up in something not entirely of your making? That’s the premise of this high energy action-crime movie - Caught Stealing. We've just been along to see a special preview of this super fun movie and it's definitely one to add to the must-see list! Austin Butler is fantastic as he stars as the unwilling participant of a bad situation, dragging him into the criminal underworld of 90s New York. It's end-to-end action with a few laughs along the way and super entertaining! Caught Stealing releases in cinemas here in Australia 28 August!

How long since you've seen a great slap-stick comedy? It's been a while for us so we were super excited to see one of the classic comedy franchises of the 80s and 90s return with The Naked Gun - and after attending a special preview screening, it certainly doesn't disappoint! Although Leslie Nielson was always going to be a tough act to follow, an unusual choice has stepped up and fills the role of Frank Drebbin Jnr perfectly. Liam Neeson, better known for his action roles, moves into this comedy and makes the role his own, it's such a good fit! It's another in the series rather than a remake, and continues on the theme of the original 3 movies fantastically with heaps of the fun and silly jokes that this franchise is known for and plenty of laughs. The Naked Gun opens here in cinemas 21 Aug and is a super fun movie!

Don't you love a great movie sequel? Even better when it's been a long time and it still lives up to the hype! We have just caught a special preview screening of Freakier Friday and it was such a fun movie! 22 years after Jamie Lee Curtis and Lidsay Lohan starred in Freaky Friday, they are back facing a similar scenario for a new generation in this awesome family flick! Freakier Friday releases here in Australia in cinemas 7 Aug and is definitely worth a watch!
