Australian Jazz "BELL" Awards Annual national awards ceremony honouring the best in Australian Jazz across 8 different categories.

The Australian Jazz Bell Awards recognise and encourage excellence in the performance, creativity, recording and presentation of jazz in Australia. In honour of one of the greats of Australian jazz - Graeme Bell, MBE, AO - the Australian Jazz Awards are informally known as 'the Bell Awards'.

29/05/2025

Launched in March 2002, the Australian Jazz Bell Awards have stood as the nation’s only dedicated jazz awards, honouring excellence and innovation in Australian jazz performance, composition, and artistry. Named in honour of trailblazing jazz musician Graeme Bell, the awards have been a beacon for the jazz community for over two decades.

After a necessary hiatus during the global pandemic, we are delighted to announce the return of the Bell Awards in 2025. This marks a powerful new chapter in our mission to celebrate and support Australian jazz artists. The Bell Awards are back — and so is the spotlight on Australia’s vibrant and world-class jazz scene.
