Not everyone lives in a perfect Instagram neutral toned beautiful bubble.

With fear of being a burden. 💜

So many different reasons, so many stories, and so much sadness. 😢

Mine is definitely my laundry… I live with a permanent floordrobe (if you don’t know what this is, comment below), I can just never seem to put my clothes away 😬😬

Can we take a moment to appreciate..

The monumental effort that went into this job!

90 hours, and 6 skip bins later, we turned this cardboard and rubbish laden home into a dream ready for sale 💪🏽💪🏽

We sadly have no backstory for this one, but I can say with confidence that there must have been a reason this home was the way it was. The person who lived in this home had a VERY small mortgage left to pay, yet went bankrupt. I hypothesised that during covid (maybe), this person lost their job or became depressed, maybe started online shopping, and then before you know it, the shopping became an addiction, until boom, one day, they had nothing 😢😢

What do you think might have happened here?

Please, no nasty comments or judgement, or saying someone is just ‘lazy’. We’ve YET to come across a client that lives like this because of laziness, there is ALWAYS a reason, and often, a heartbreaking one, so remember this when you answer.

If you had to..

Guess how many maggots were here, what would be your number? 😬

Forensic work is hard work, wearing full hazmat suits, full face masks, and working in 30-40 degree heat is full on… but, we absolute love it. I’m so happy to have diversified into this work, and grateful always to the families for allowing us into their loved ones home it such sad and trying times.

People die alone. People die without anyone knowing about it. People die and then some are not found for weeks. This is the reality of the work we do. We are there to create safe, and more importantly non confrontational spaces for families, so they don’t have to do it.

This resident was loved, it was just unfortunate that they weren’t found immediately after passing away in their home, combined with warm weather, it meant a deeper clean 💜

Anyone else…

Clean the outside of the shower FIRST before the inside or is that just me? 🧐

Cleaning this shower like I’m at a rave party and having the best time 💃🏼 🍾👯👯‍♀️ love me a good shower clean 💪🏽

Sadly the resident of this home just physically wasn’t able to clean the shower (hence the chair), don’t judge, you’ll get old one day too people and find you just simply can’t do everything you could do before, so guess what.. don’t judge 👊🏼 be kind.

Btw, this is your reminder too to check on your relatives, friends, or honestly, anyone living alone.

I know what you’re thinking….🤔

The resident of this home was lazy. But you’re wrong. So so wrong. Read below to find out why…

This resident reached out to us via email seeking help with their home.

They have recently received a late in life diagnosis of Autism and their life has been chaos until that moment. Imagine feeling like something is not ‘right’ with you all of your life, but not knowing what the fugg it is. We can’t imagine the mental impact that would have on someone’s wellbeing, and that impact has been reflected in their home. Living on microwave meals (and before the haters start, this is why the kitchen is clean), and alcohol, this resident has struggled. 😢

This resident was unable to look after themselves to the same standard as you or me. Does that mean we should judge? HELL no.

It means you should stop for a minute.

Engage your brain.

And think about how the system failed this person here.

The family have tried to help over the years, but with no diagnosis you can imagine the challenges this has caused. The family have cleared and cleaned this home before and were left traumatised (understandably), so this time they reached out to the experts to help, and we are so glad they did. 💜💜💜

This client is a high functioning autistic person, with a very humbling attitude towards their condition. They are actively seeking ongoing support and assistance in their new home to ensure they can look after themselves from now on.

We would love to hear from any other late diagnosed neurodivergent adults and your story 💜💜
