We launched in 2014 with a mission of producing a magazine for quilters, filled with beautiful patterns and articles to inspire makers like us to create quilts we’re proud of. What started as a dream between three Aussie quilty friends who met online has grown into a beloved global quilting commun

Whether you go for a day or the whole duration, quilt shows are hard work. Tiring on the feet, tiring on the body, very overstimulating, and often heavy on the wallet! Make Modern is Australia's only dedicated modern quilt magazine. It began when a group of passionate quilters had a dream of producing a magazine for quilters, by quilters, filled with beautiful patterns and articles to inspire quilters like us to make more modern quilts!
Five years on and Make Modern is delivered to thousands of quilters in 72 countries and we are so proud! Our modern quilt magazine is published bi-monthly in collaboration with a huge team of talented quilt designers from all over the globe who contribute patterns and articles to each issue. Each issue is 100+ pages jam-packed with modern quilt patterns to get your creative juices flowing, articles to inspire you and teach you something new, and interviews with your favourite quilt designers. Issues are delivered as PDF files, to be read on your computer, tablet or phone, with patterns printed as you wish.
