From the first day the first edition rolled out in 1919, The Hornsby Advocate has been an integral part of community life. It is the leading source of news and information, as well as a voice for the people. Local is at the heart of everything we do. HOUSE RULES

The Hornsby Advocate is part of News Corp’s community news division: NewsLocal. Your reporter Madelaine Wong is based in the area and delivers community-focused news in Hornsby.

Madelaine has extensive experience as a local news reporter in Hornsby, Liverpool, Fairflied and the Northern Beaches.

Other contributors to the Hornsby Advocate are State Political Reporter, Jake McCallum and Sport Reporter, Amanda Lulham. Jake reports on issues relating to urban affairs, infrastructure, health and education out of NSW State Parliament.

Amanda reports the untold stories of juniors, rising stars, Olympians, Paralympians and top sporting stars in the community. She shares their journey to success and the importance of family, community and clubs.
