Congratulations to Port Melbourne "Sharks" Soccer Club Andrew Withers and Melbourne Knights FC Alun Webb for winning the round 2 NPL Victoria save and goal of the weeks respectively. Webb won by a few votes over Georgeopoulos when Twitter and Facebook voted got added.

- Green Gully Soccer Club played an hour with 10 men, but still came away with a 2-0 victory on the road against Avondale FC thanks to two set-piece headers from Alex Salmon
- Altona Magic Soccer Club scored twice and Heidelberg United FC defender Mallan Roberts got sent off in a horrible 5 minutes stretch just before half time for the Warriors. But George Katsakis' side composed themselves and fought back late; scoring twice to claim a point at Altona.
- Dandenong City SC took an early lead against Hume City F.C. when Michael Weier dropped a cross in difficult conditions and Brayden Mann was in position to tap home. Hume composed themselves and an excellent one-two from James Brown and Josh Bingham freed Brown to equalise. Late in the game, Hume took the lead when James Brown got a second from a close-range header then Marko Delic sealed the 3 points with an incredible strike

Saturday NPL Victoria review thanks to Armadura
- Bentleigh started the season in style going 3-0 up just after half an hour at Eastern Lions Gardener Creek reserve with goals from Will Bower , Damian Iaconis & Braedyn Crowley. Aaron Fabris scored late with a quick thinking lob to score the Lions first goal of the campaign.
- Tom Mathews was sent off for Oakleigh just after half time ( unfortunately no vision of it ) but 2019 gold medal winner Joe Guest opened the scoring for the visitors 10 minutes later. It took a late own goal after some brilliant work from Yusef Ahmed to get Avondale level late and Stefan Valentini scored the winner just before stoppage time.
- Hume City and Altona Magic had great chances to take the lead in the late Saturday night fixture in front of a very vocal crowd but they had to settle for a 0-0 to start their season

- the 10 men of Melbourne Knights hold on for a 1-0 win after Nikola Jurkovic got sent off 10 minutes after Gian Albano opened the scoring after some brilliant wing play from Mohammad Sumaora.
- Dandenong City took the lead with a scrappy goal from new signing Delarno Pharoe only for Thunder to get a late penalty that new Argentinian attacker Nahuel Bonada scored from to give the thunder a point from an entertaining Dandy Derby
