CHANGING OF THE GUARDS

I’m so delighted to announce that MR WOLF has been taken over into the next part of its journey by the gorgeous Melbourne local Annelise Matlock. Please do me the honour of supporting her and her dreams like you did me and mine. Women supporting women has always been at the forefront of not only my business but my entire existence. I will be changing my handle in the next day or two to reflect the world the boys and I are currently in but cannot thank you all enough for holding my hand and opening your hearts to me over the past 10 years while Ive explored and experimented with the wild world of not only retail but also the gram. To know me is to know I love a roller coaster and this ride has not disappointed- it’s been nothing short of f’ing wild. .

It feels like yesterday that we were taking you home from the hospital and I was so scared to even put you in the baby capsule for fear of hurting you. You were so tiny, even though everyone kept telling me how big you were at 4.2kg and 54cm long. Your dad drove at speeds of what felt like 150kmh as I sat in the back holding on to you and that seat with all my might. You were the most beautiful thing I had ever seen but in reality with those forceps seriously effecting your first day photos, you looked more like a bruised cone head than the gorgeous baby boy I saw staring back at me.

MY darling Jakob, how the years have not only passed me by, but have also filled every cavity of my existence with love, joy, pride and admiration - for you are the most incredible human I know and being your mum is the single most fulfilling role of my life.

You live your life with confidence, consideration and care. You take pride in maintaining the relationships you have and hold your family tight. Your thirst for knowledge inspires those around you and you are wise being your year. I know I must have done something right to deserve you and can not wait to see what awaits you, for knowing you is knowing it will be nothing less than extraordinary.

Happy birthday baby mou You are the wish I hoped for the most when I blew out my candles and I hope you get the privilege of knowing a love like this too.

Cheers to the brightest start in my galaxy, my love will always orbit you.

2022 was one of the most intense and challenging years of my adult life and took a fu@k load out of me to get through, but as I reflect on it all and look at the gems it’s brought me, the one that comes to mind most is the incredible love and support I get from those around me. I celebrated my 46th solar return on the weekend and was so moved by all the love I felt from the incredible humans I have in my orbit. Not one of you goes unnoticed and it’s you, my family and my incredible boys who are my life’s biggest blessings! Extra big shout out to the man I love who made one of my bucket list dreams of free falling down to earth come true ♥️ Here’s to whatever the next year has in store for me; because with the crew I’ve got in my corner, it can only ever be abundant!

My parents celebrated 47 years of marriage last month. My dad was also diagnosed with stage 4 cancer the day before. For those who know my parents well, know their love for each other is other worldly. For him the sun rises and set with her. He worships her like a king his queen. She laughs at his jokes and never nags. They still hold hands when they walk and for the generation they come from, have always had very shared household roles. They’ve worked side by side their whole lives and they’ve rarely spent a week apart. I sometimes think that the relationship standard they set for me was so high that if I didn’t have what they had, I didn’t want it at all. They fought not with each other but for for the love they have. They now have a different fight to face - but here’s hoping that with love like theirs fuelling it, the finish will be a strong one ❤️‍🔥
