Congratulations to Paul Gamblin, Protect Ningaloo, scientists, and volunteers who campaigned to stop this project in the Exmouth Gulf.

For many years, the West Australian community has battled against the industrialisation of the area known as Ningaloo’s nursery. They’re now celebrating a “major win”.

GoFundMe For Chantal Doeke

For those moved by Chantal’s emotional Ancestry video reuniting her with her twin brother, a GoFundMe has been created to support her journey to Vietnam as she continues her search for her biological parents.

As a newborn, Chantal Doecke was part of the historic 1975 international rescue mission called Operation Babylift, in which 3000 South Vietnamese youngsters were evacuated and adopted by families across the world. Desperate to find her family, Chantal recently did an Ancestry DNA test, and discovered she is actually a twin, who has been separated from her brother for 50 years.

Chantal is now asking viewers to forward the documentary link to friends and colleagues. Chantal’s hoping someone, somewhere can connect her to her biological parents.

Being a twin gives Chantal a point of difference and she’s hoping someone might recall the name of the woman who gave birth to a boy and girl at the Tu Du Hospital in Saigon in the first days of April 1975.

CELIA TAIT WINS AIDC SOUTHERN LIGHT AWARD

In the week we celebrated International Women’s Day, it was very fitting that Artemis Media's Managing Director and Co-Founder received the Southern Light Award at the AIDC - Australian International Documentary Conference

The AIDC Southern Light Award celebrates luminaries of the Australian documentary and factual industry. We are delighted that Celia’s incredible hard work, leadership, integrity and success has been recognised by her peers.

“I am thrilled to be receiving this award. It really is an honor” said Celia Tait. “Thank you to all those talented screen practitioners who have worked closely with me over the years at Artemis, to create our distinctive brand of inclusive high impact, stand out factual TV. And for their on-going support, and tenacity during the many challenging periods that we all face. It is such an exciting and fast changing industry to work in and I remain passionately committed to it. This award is a wonderful endorsement of our collective work – and this recognition will energise me for the next chapter.”
