Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for TORNADOES, DAMAGING to DESTRUCTIVE WINDS, LARGE HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALL
For people in parts of Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, Central West Slopes and Plains, South West Slopes and Riverina Forecast Districts.

Issued at 3:49 pm Wednesday, 10 September 2025.
THIS INCLUDES A TORNADO WARNING.

POSSIBLE TORNADOES NEAR YOUNG, WITH SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OCCURRING ELSEWHERE ACROSS CENTRAL NSW.

Weather Situation: a cold front attached to a low pressure system is moving eastwards through central parts of the state, producing severe thunderstorms this afternoon and early evening.

VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORMS are likely to produce tornadoes, destructive winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in parts of the Central Tablelands, South West Slopes, Southern Tablelands and Central West Slopes and Plains districts. Locations which may be affected include Young and Cowra.
