Congratulations to all the winners at the Australian Country Music People's Choice Awards ... and to my peers in broadcasting.
I was so very surprised, and honoured when I found out late yesterday that I was to be inducted into the Australian Country Music Broadcasters Hall of Fame along side country radio legend, Ray McCoy. Thank you to organiser, Bob Kirchner and his committee for the accolade, I am so very humbled. Thank you!🙏

A sincere apology is extended to Toyota Star Maker Finalist, Felicity Kircher for the mispelling and mis-pronunciation of her name in this coming week's Showcase Australia Toyota Star Maker Special program.

This mistake has now been rectified within the program, so if stations and networks could note that the corrected program has now been uploaded and available.

My apologies for any inconvenience - and again, my apologies to Felicity Kircher for the error.

Re: SHOWCASE AUSTRALIA

Week 47 has been uploaded to the cloud and is now available for stations and networks to access.

This week I have produced a STAR MAKER Special Edition - featuring the music of our future stars - namely, the ten grand finalists in the 45th Toyota Star Maker Competition.

It will be my last program not only for the year but indefinitely - as I turn my focus and energies on touring and promoting my own new music.

And so, music from the following artists is featured;

I will keep both the social media page and website open for a little while.

Since 2011, Showcase Australia has enjoyed multiple hours of airplay weekly through several networks - terrestrial and online - globally and in Australia. It was aired daily on some networks and so my playlists and adds were not repeated within the month to keep the program 'fresh'.

After producing 650 programs or so, I would like to sincerely thank all those stations and listeners who have supported the concept - your support over the years has been greatly valued.

ATTENTION!

To my Friends in Music ...

Please join me on Showcase Australia this coming week when I will present a very special program featuring the music of all of the 2025 Toyota Star Maker finalists.

It will be my last program not only for the year but indefinitely, since after 13 years and three months and creating around 650 or so shows, I have decided to hang up my microphone and take a hiatus from producing the show.

Even though I hold a very deep belief in giving to, and supporting one's industry, I feel after all these years and effort, it is now time that I focus my energy on my own music and new release.

I still own both the business and domain names for Showcase Australia and so perhaps in the future, I will resurrect the brand as a new, monetized and slightly different concept. Too far ahead to think about now.

My sincerest and deepest thanks are extended to the networks, stations, artists and their listeners who have acknowledged and supported my efforts over the years - I have appreciated it very much.

Many best wishes to all, for the Festive Season and great success in 2025!
