Well, after more than 5 years, 250+ shows, nearly 3500 downloads in the past 2 years, and regularly being the top rating show at the station, it's time for me to wrap things up and move on.
It's been a fantastic journey, and I want to thank all of you for listening, downloading and following me on the ride.
Who knows, maybe I'll be back in the future, we'll see, but for now let's just say stay safe, stay we'll, stay metal, and bye for now..

Tonight's Show

This time next year we'll be preparing for 2 MASSIVE tours, Metallica and Opeth, and to celebrate, tonight's will be two 1 hour 'hopeful' set lists.
Hour one will be songs we hope Metallica will include, and hour two will be Opeth songs we're hoping to hear.
So tune in tonight from 10pm till midnight on Alive 90.5 FM to hear what we would include if we had control of the setlists. (To be honest, to do it full justice it would need to be a 4 hour show, so this is just the absolute top of the list stuff.)

Another week, another series of awesome albums celebrating anniversaries.

As well as birthday for Brian Johnson of AC/DC and Al Jourgensen of Ministry, we'll have album anniversaries from the likes of Testament,Trivium, Marilyn Manson, and Soundgarden.

But our main event will be hour 2, and entire hour devoted to 2 of the greatest metal albums of all time. Slayer Reign in Blood, and Seasons in the Abyss.

We have album and birthdays galore tonight, as well as the anniversary of the passing of a true metal legend.

We'll be playing some Slipknot, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Testament, KK's Priest, Trivium, Iron Maiden, Accept, Parkway Drive, Black Sabbath, Motley Crue and of course we'll pay tribute to the late great Metallica bassist Cliff Burton, who passed away this week in 1986.

Tonight we are all about the drummers! Is it a coincidence that the drummer on The Muppets was named "Animal"? We've all heard the jokes but the fact is a great drummer can be the difference between an OK song and an absolute classic.

So we're paying our respects to the likes of Dave Lombardo, Mario Duplantier, Pete Sandoval, Mike Portnoy, Charlie Benante, Joey Jordison, Cozy Powell, Nicko McBrain, Nick Menza and the rest of the great stickmen of heavy music.

We'll be playing Slayer, Dark Angel, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Metallica, Mastodon, Morbid Angel, Gojira, Lamb of God, Iron Maiden, Slipknot, Opeth, Anthrax, Dream Theater and heaps more.
