Absolute beach front camping! We spent the week in Zone 4 - Guluri and Eli Creek on the eastern side of the island. Located right near the shipwreck and Eli Creek. Not ideal when windy but hows those views! 😍

Gotta love those camps you randomly stumble across - where there’s no particular drawcard, but it’s beautiful, quiet, and gives you a moment to sit back and relax! 😊 The kids had the BEST time paddling in the water and swinging in the hammock all day long. This was one of those “nothing” camps but honestly it’s up there as one of our absolute favs this trip!!

Did you know there are multiple parts to this national park!?

We hit the Wilderness Way from Tambo and explored the less travelled route through the back of Carnarvon Gorge, spending a couple of nights camping on the Nogoa River in the Salvator Rosa section of Carnarvon Gorge.

If you’re in the area, the Wilderness Way between Tambo and Springsure was a highlight for us! 😁 …as was spotting platypus in the creek!!

Thanks for all the feedback on yesterday’s vid.

Super keen to have a crack at this DIY budget build.

If it all comes together It’ll be a shed project that you’ll see bits and pieces of scattered through next year’s regular content.

The 300 will continue to do the majority of the trips (and all of the towing). But I’ve really missed having a canopy, and I love the idea of a bit of a rough & ready car I can do some tougher tracks in. So this scratches both those itches. Plus I love a project, and I’m excited to learn to tig weld.

Keen to hear from you guys what Ute you think would suit the build, and why! Im leaning towards older model GU patrol, Ford Ranger or possibly a 75/79 series?
