Big weekend of cheer and dance at AASCF NSW State Champs. They are very fun events with performances every 3-4 minutes from 8am to around 9pm. Mulitply that by 200+ images per routine, for 2.5 days, and you get a lot of images. Not feeling so alive today (!) but will be ready for VIC State Champs this weekend. This week I photographed a swimming carnival. While I was shooting the butterfly events I found that once the swimmers head and arms went back under the water, if I kept shooting I could generate these cool abstract water splash images. The swimmer is actually in each shot, but is hidden by the water and the splash. 💦 So cool (well, only cool if you like abstract images!)

Each cheer and dance season I shoot all the Melbourne AASCF comps and then the National Champs. We do that with a group of photographers and videographers and it’s always a good time. So it was cool to have one of the team visit me at the studio to share some laughs and create fun images. It turns out Photographybybianca goes pretty well on the other side of the camera. Who knew?!? Thanks Bianca. Let’s do it again one day.
