The film screening is proudly hosted by New South Wales Environment and Heritage and will screen at The Servo - Port Kembla.

Northern Rivers family – 'Lyrebird' 🦚 will be screened at Byron Theatre Saturday June 7 at 2PM. There will be a post-film Q&A with our guest experts and director of the film, Mark Pearce.
"This captivating film offers a mesmerising glimpse into the magical world of the lyrebird, an extraordinary creature that holds the secrets of Australia’s ancient forests in its song."
This is a fundraiser where contributions from the event will go towards the local stage production "Displace I Call Home" and the film’s marketing and distribution outreach.

Congrats to all involved! We're delighted to help out with a short before the feature. Looks like another full-house! ❤🦚

What a night! A massive heart-felt thank you to our wonderful community for joining us last night to celebrate standing up for nature! We hope you all left as inspired as us to continue being a voice for wilderness and the magnificent creatures that call the forests home.

Whilst the fight for Takayna may not be in our backyard here on the Blackall Range, the film reminded us that we are all deeply connected to the natural world, and every action that diminishes habitat depletes our own capactity for survival. Every action, from front line vigils to attending local screenings in support of those that do, connects us and contributes to a better future for all.

The Lyrebird Festival returns this November 14-17 in the Blue Mountains.

Hosted by The Bowerbird Collective this event brings together some of Australia's finest musicians for a series of spellbinding concerts. This year the festival is also including a special screening of the award winning movie The Message of the Lyrebird on Sunday 17th of November @ 3:15PM.
