Global pop sensation Benson Boone today announces Australian pop prodigy Ruel as special guest on all dates of his Wanted Man Tour this November. With more than three billion global streams and sold-out headline tours around the world, Ruel will join Boone for a run of major arena shows across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, bringing together two of contemporary pop's most exciting talents.
Currently wowing audiences in the US while on the road with his 35-date Wanted Man North American tour, Benson Boone returns to Australia for nine huge arena shows this spring, the global 'Beautiful Things' breakout singer proving yet again why he's one of the world's hottest music stars.

Fresh from the release of his third studio album, Kicking My Feet & Screaming, the Sydney-born, Los Angeles-based Ruel continues to evolve his sound with a more vulnerable, expansive approach.

La Mama’s HOPE PUNK Climate Festival is charging into its second week with another dense mix of theatre, music, playreadings, performance and climate-focused work across Carlton.
Running from 1 to 20 September, the festival is built around staggered performance times so audiences can move between multiple events in a single day or evening, with tickets ranging from $5 to $35 alongside a number of free events.
It is an unusually broad program, but the through-line is clear: climate anxiety, environmental collapse, resilience and hope are being tackled with humour, absurdity, music and live performance rather than another lecture about the end of the world.

PULSE – a love song to a bleeding ocean

Running 8–12 September at 6pm, PULSE brings together vocalist, percussionist, playable costume and sound art in a work inspired by love for — and concern about — the sea.

St Kilda is getting a double dose of musical nostalgia, with two new tribute productions heading to Fitzroy St Theatre over the coming months.
First up is ABBA Cirque Tribute, opening on 15 October, followed by Dolly’s Christmas Miracle – A Heavenly Musical Tribute, which opens on 26 November.
Both productions promise familiar songs, big-hearted entertainment and plenty of reasons to gather a group and make a night of it in Fitzroy Street.

ABBA Cirque Tribute brings the disco era back to life

There are few pop catalogues capable of filling a room quite like ABBA’s, and the new ABBA Cirque Tribute is built around some of the Swedish supergroup’s most recognisable songs.
Audiences can expect favourites including Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, The Winner Takes It All, Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!, Waterloo and Voulez-Vous.
The production promises to reimagine the music through a new cirque-style stage show, combining the familiar sound of ABBA with a more theatrical live experience.

Regional and rural families with children receiving medical treatment in Perth, staying at Ronald McDonald House WA, were treated to an early look at the showbags on offer at the 2026 Perth Royal Show, as some of this year's most anticipated showbags were revealed at a special family fun day.
Hosted by the Royal Agricultural Society of WA and Ronald McDonald House WA, the event brought the colour, excitement and joy of the Show to families through rides, games, entertainment, cuddly animals and delicious Show food.
Made possible with the support of Lotterywest, the event has become a special tradition for both organisations, providing a memorable day and some much-needed respite for families who have travelled considerable distances from regional and remote Western Australia so their child can access vital medical treatment. For more than 30 years, Ronald McDonald House has helped keep these families together and close to the crucial care they need.

Known for creating deeply emotional work rooted in ancestry and culture, Wakka Wakka, Ngugi and Birrpai choreographer Ngioka Bunda-Heath brings her latest dance piece to Melbourne Fringe this Festival.

Estuary explores dual identities and First Nation connection to the land, the sky and the waterways. Featuring archival voice recordings and original footage taken on Country, Estuary transports you to a landscape of beauty alongside tension.

Currents collide, merge, and transform as the dancers build embodied languages of flow, resistance, and connection together.

Meet us where saltwater and freshwater flow as one.

7-10 October at Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre.

The Occasion

The days go by, just as days go by. We cheer the imminent arrival of Spring and the prospect of fine weather to greet us, as the frenzy of the AFL/NRL football fiesta comes to a climax in Melbourne and Sydney.

Set against an historic backdrop - and with recent tragic events in Nepal (for which we are doing a victim relief fundraiser - see below), the arrival of the Hebrew year 5757, the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 Twin Towers disaster, the huge success and reinvention of Homer’s Odyssey, the Neil Diamond biopic on our shores, the controversial England/Pakistan cricket series - (when will see the beloved Imran Khan again?), the oncoming state elections here and mid-terms in the USA, and so much more Middle East and Eastern European tumult - certainly an appropriate time for ordinary heroes to step forward.

Status Quo
Our four groups are certainly rising to the call with gritted teeth, huge camaraderie, steely resolve and infectious joy.

Frankston Arts Centre has a packed spring program ahead, with inventive theatre, live music, comedy, family shows and exhibitions filling the calendar through September, October and November.
Among the highlights is POV by re performance collective, an unusual blend of live theatre and film where no two performances are quite the same.

POV – Theatre That Changes Every Night
Wednesday 23 September, 7.30pm – Main Theatre
At the centre of POV is Bub, an 11-year-old girl who effectively gets to direct the story of her own family.
Two adult actors join her on stage with very little idea of what is about to happen. Using live prompts, hidden screens, planted scripts and in-ear instructions, the performers are forced to navigate the story as it unfolds in real time.
For the Frankston performance, acclaimed local performers Ash Flanders and Brigitte Jarvis will step into the experiment live and unprepared, making each performance spontaneous and impossible to reproduce exactly.
