I’m saying farewell to facebook. It may take a few days as i want to do it properly. Delete permanently. my feed is full of ads. I’m angry at zuckerberg for rolling back diversity & inclusion initiatives just for political advantage. I’m angry that he has authorised the scrapping of content moderators and fact checking allowing mis-information to run riot. The impact this’ll have on young people is incalculable. Online bullying & suicides are increasing and i cannot in all good conscience continue to support an immoral platform that perpetuates this. Social Media is literally killing kids, its robbing them of genuine human connection and their precious time. It’s horribly & deliberately addictive. I support people from diverse backgrounds and believe vulnerable people should be supported not exploited. Im easy to find (just google me and you’ll

I have to say I was mortified by an ad I saw over easter from Cadburys (Mondelez). I am always amazed at how wrong ad agencies get communicating sustainability activities.

The ad stated that Cadbury Hollow Eggs will move to 12 & 24 pack cardboard cartons, saving 131,000kg of plastic. Also the plastic blister & excess cardboard will be removed saving 200,000kg of packaging. Good on Cadbury’s you might say. But here’s my problem with it. There is NO SAVING. They are just NOT adding 131,000kg of plastic or NOT adding 200,000kg of packaging, as they have done for many, many, many years before. Nor are they doing anything to counter prior dumping of plastic waste.

Ad agencies may think they’re being clever using language like ‘saving’ but consumers are far savvier than that. In my eyes it’s just plain deceptive. What do you think?

Our Story

Cavill + Co is a boutique Australian company that helps organisations to do good, better. In 25 years Hailey’s team has built 50 corporate-cause partnerships worth $40m for companies like Disney, Seek, Mondelez and Vodafone. She has also trained up numerous non-profits to partner with companies including PetRescue, Fred Hollows Foundation and Oxfam.

Hailey works with corporate Australia on their CSR & Social Good strategies. She speaks widely on the power of Doing Good and MC’d the annual Happiness & Its Causes conference in June 2018 alongside His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Professor Richard Wiseman and Roy Baumeister from the USA, domestic violence campaigner Rosie Batty, TV chef Kylie Kwong, Terrorist bob survivor Gill Hicks, broadcaster Indira Naidoo, musician James Morrison and Australian scientist Dr Fiona Kerr. She has recently spoken at the UK’s Fundraising Insitute’s annual conference and New Zealand’s fundraising conference FINZ. She has been described as dynamic, entertaining, authentic and passionate.

Hailey has appeared on The Gruen Transfer, 7.30 report and in numerous publications over her 23-year career including BRW, Choice magazine and The Deal. Hailey walks the talk - she runs a carbon neutral business and operates from a 7 1/2 star eco house in the mountains of Warburton, just east of Melbourne. She built the house with her hubby and Grand Designs Australia followed their every move, muck up and magic moment! The show aired on Foxtel in 2018.
