On Generation Gap this Friday at 9am to Midday, Tribe FM 91.1.
It's been a busy week for Emcee Blaze and Trev. Wednesday evening, we were at the Every Generation Awards to hand the nomination certificates to the 2025 nominees for the Intergenerational Award. Congratulations to all the nominees who do so much for the Onkaparinga community. It was very pleasing to see Pete Symons from the Aldinga Bay Life Saving Club take out the Individual Award. Pete was instrumental in organising the Silver Salties program and will be a regular on Generation Gap in the future.
On Friday Emcee Blaze and Trev, along with fellow Tribe FM presenter Bob Evans, attended the gala opening of the refurbished Hopgood Theatre. A great celebration of the success of the rebuild.
If you are in the South, please consider having a meal at the Port Noarlunga Hotel. Trev has had a few lunches there and the meals and service are second to none.

Blaze and Trev attended the annual Any Generation Awards Onkaparinga on Wednesday to present the nominees for the Intergenerational Award with their certificates. It was a great event and it was pleasing to see Dean Rowe presented with the Ray Gilbert award for his great work with his Judith's Legacy program. We must congratulate all the nominees for the Any Generation Awards but in particular Pete Symons for his well-deserved win in the Individual Section. Pete was a guest on the Generation Gap show when the Aldinga Bay Life Saving Club launched the Silver Salties group. Pete will once again be a regular on Generation Gap on the second Friday of the month at 9.30am. The show will now have six guests with a monthly timeslot.

The event that Tribe FM was spruiking via a Community Announcement, the Dance Tasting event exceeded expectations with 100 people attending during the day. Blaze and Trev dropped in to have a look after our show but didn't dance as it would have been a risk to personal and public safety. Hopefully with such a good turn out this will become an annual event.
Blaze and Trev are also attending the gala opening of the Hopgood Theatre and there will be a Hopgood Theatre Fun Day on Saturday.

There are upcoming events that will be of special interest to orchid lovers. The South Coast Orchid Club will be having their Spring Show on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th in the Marion Warradale Uniting Church Hall. We will be chatting to Phil Steer from the club next week.
