Nobody warned me this day would come so fast. 😭

One minute they need you for everything. The next they’re looking DOWN at you.

Day 2 without Abby at camp and Ryan came to me this morning and said

“You can hear a pin drop in this house.”

And then

“I feel lost. Abby’s not here to tell me what to do next.” 😂

Seven years of sibling bossing and he didn’t even realise he needed it.

We’re not crying. He’s not crying. Everything is fine. 😅

Come home soon Abby. Ryan is lost without his boss. 🧡

She’s off. 🎒

Dropped her this morning in the rain, watched her walk away with that suitcase and that little smile, and honestly
 we held it together.

Got home and this is what happened next.

Three of us tonight. The house already feels different.

Go have the best time Abby. We love you to bits. 🧡

She walked out that door this morning and suddenly the house got very quiet. đŸ˜¶

Dropped her at school camp. Abby’s last one in primary school and now we’re just
sitting here not knowing what to do with ourselves. 😅

The other one’s already noticed she’s gone. We’ve already noticed she’s gone.

It’s only a few days. We know. But it’s funny how much space one kid takes up until they’re not there. 😄

Go have the best time Abby. We’ll try not to miss you too much.

(We’re absolutely going to miss her too much.)

Tomorrow she goes to her last school camp in primary school. 🎒

Tonight? Clothes everywhere, a suitcase that’s been packed and unpacked twice, and a kid who’s trying to act cool about it but we can see right through her. 😄

As parents you want them to have every experience. Every adventure. Every moment that builds them into who they’re becoming.

But man, the night before hits different.

So proud of you Abby. Go have the best time. 🧡

Life doesn’t slow down just because you’re trying to build something.

This week we’ve got school camp drop-off, work shifts, kids to wrangle and a house that somehow needs to keep running — and in the middle of all of it, we’re still showing up for what we’re building.

Not because we have spare time. We definitely don’t. 😅

But because the whole point of building this is so that one day we have more of it.

That’s the reality nobody really shows you. It’s not built in perfect conditions. It’s built in the gaps. The early mornings, the five minutes between drop-off and work, the phone notes at 10pm.

If you’re building something alongside a full life right now — you’re not doing it wrong. That’s just what it actually looks like.

Tired of feeling stuck but not sure what to change?

That was us.

Two full-time jobs. Two kids. A life that looked fine from the outside but felt like we were just going through the motions.

We weren’t unhappy exactly. Just
flat. Like we were ticking boxes but not actually going anywhere.

We weren’t looking for perfect. We weren’t even looking for big.

We just needed something to actually shift.

Something that fit around real life. Not some fantasy version of life where you’ve got spare time and spare cash and everything lines up perfectly.

Real life. Chaos and all.

That one conversation started something we didn’t expect. And seven months in, we’re still surprised by it.

If any of that sounds familiar — if you’re sitting there nodding along — then this is your sign to just reach out.

No pitch. No weird sales energy. Just a real
conversation between real people.
