Still show up for all of it every day.

Not because we’re stuck with it, we’re not trying to escape our jobs.

We just want more say in how we build our life around them.

That’s the whole reason we started this.

Sometimes the best family memories aren't the ones we planned.

We could've packed up and gone home because of the rain...

Instead, we laughed, stayed a little longer, and made a memory we'll never forget.

As a working mum, these moments remind me why we're trying to build a life with more time together.

Doubt still turns up most weeks, doesn’t matter how far along you are. There was a time it decided things for us. Not anymore. Never waited until we felt ready, just started and worked the rest out as we went. Some weeks all we’ve managed is something small. Still counts. Wanting more than just getting through the week isn’t greedy. It’s normal. Wish someone had told us that sooner.

A week off posting. Not a strategy, just life.

Went quiet for a bit there.
Sick kid, hospital, work, the usual stuff piling up all at once.

Didn’t have it in us to post through it, and that’s fine.

Back now.

Still figuring out how to do this alongside everything else, not pretending we’ve got it perfectly balanced.
