He met me at the traffic lights…

We were living in Greensborough. Life was good. I was a young mum to four little boys — just 10, 5, 3 and 2. Busy, full, beautiful chaos. And then one day… everything changed. I found myself at the doctor’s office, being told I needed urgent tests. My uncle had passed away from kidney cancer in 1998, so immediately, alarm bells rang....

Chasing Waterfalls

Got home from work completely exhausted… the kind of tired where the couch is calling your name and you’ve got nothing left to give. But instead, I called out to the girls, “Let’s go hunting for waterfalls!” Within seconds they were in the car (honestly… no hesitation ), and off we went chasing adventure. We set out to find Wilhelmina Falls, wandering along the most beautiful bush tracks… climbing over fallen logs, following bubbling little streams, ducking under branches, and just soaking in the quiet amazement of it all....

You Can’t Draw From an Empty Well

There’s a quiet kind of exhaustion that creeps in when you’ve been giving for too long. Not the loud, chaotic kind. The subtle kind. The one where you’re still doing all the things…but something inside you feels dry. Like a well that’s been drawn from too many times, with nothing left to give. I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately....

A Tug in the Silence

After many years of quiet, after doors closed and words left unsaid,I feel a gentle tug—a pull I cannot ignore. It came in the strangest way.Amid smoke and fear,as I prayed for home and hearth,I reached across the silence. One small message.A simple ask for prayer. And in that act,a bridge began to form....

The Power of a Hug 🤍

Not just a quick squeeze or a polite pat on the back. I mean a long, tight hug—the kind that lingers, that says without words, “You are seen. You are held. You are loved.” Right now, I find myself longing for one. There’s a deep, almost instinctive comfort in human touch, and science tells us it’s more than just emotional—it’s physical, too....

When the Fire Comes Close

Longwood Bushfires — January 2026 There are moments in life that divide time into before and after.January 2026 will always be one of those moments for our family. The Longwood bushfires came within about five kilometres of our home. Closer than for some, further than for others — and yet when fire is moving with a mind of its own, those distances feel both huge and meaningless all at once....

Finding Your Balance: Life, Business, and Heart in Full Swing

Life doesn’t always go according to plan. After leaving the little cafe I worked at for 13 months to pour myself fully into Arashel, I imagined a slower, more intentional pace—days spent creating, selling, and nurturing my little business from home. I took almost eight months off to throw 100% of myself into it, dreaming of growth, new ideas, and the freedom to balance work and family on my own terms....
