The workplace has changed. Has your training kept up?

The way we work, communicate, lead and learn has evolved. Yet, too many training sessions are still stuck in the traditional approach: a facilitator talking, participants listening and everyone going back to work as usual.

Today’s learners don’t just need information. They need engagement, interaction, reflection and practical experiences that challenge their thinking and inspire them to do things differently.

And that starts with choosing the right facilitator.

Before booking your next training, do your homework!

✔️ Interview the facilitator. Ask about their approach, not just their qualifications.

✔️ Ask how they engage participants. What happens beyond the PowerPoint presentation?

✔️ Request references. What do previous clients say about the experience and its impact?

✔️ Discuss your organization’s challenges. A good facilitator should want to understand your people before proposing solutions.

✔️ Ask about the follow-through. How will participants translate what they’ve learned into everyday behavior?

Because a great facilitator doesn’t just deliver content. They create conversations, challenge perspectives, encourage participation and help people connect learning to real life.

Training shouldn’t just fill a few hours on the calendar. It should make those hours count.

And remember: A full training room doesn’t necessarily mean a successful training.
