Pirate FM are currently awaiting a decision from the Barbados Broadcasting Authority since applying for a license to become the first radio station in Barbados aimed specifically at the Tourist Market, as well as catering for sports lovers looking for live commentaries.

Due to the delays we are going ONLINE from June 2019 and you will be able to get a taste of some of the things we want to feature (BUT NOT LIVE SPORTS, AS RIGHTS ARE ONLY FOR FM BROADCASTS) Our schedules will fit around whatever live sport is happening with our emphasis on football from the English Premier League, The FA Cup, and our weekly round up of the Football League, together with Cricket from around the World, and especially both the West Indies, Barbados Tridents and the Caribbean Premier League.We will, as we grow look at bringing other sports and events on board.

We also aim to give live coverage of events which happen on the island, many of which many of our thousands of tourists have no idea are going on, from sailing to polo and much, much more. Musically we know that our mix of today's best new music and classic hits will not only be welcomed by the thousands of visitors who flock to our paradise island each year, but also to the ex-pat community (Did you know 10% of the population are ex-pat's?) and locals alike, who will enjoy our mix of music and live sports, which is not currently available here in Barbados. Coupled with our advice service on everything Bajan, Pirate FM will be the most valuable addition to your time on the island, be it a day, a month or for life, forget the tourist guide, Paradise FM will make your experience of Barbados even better! Pirate FM is so totally different to anything else on the airwaves once you have tuned in you will never want to tune out!
