اِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ وَ رَسُوْلِهٖ ثُمَّ لَمْ یَرْتَابُوْا وَ جٰهَدُوْا بِاَمْوَالِهِمْ وَ اَنْفُسِهِمْ فِیْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِ١ؕ اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الصّٰدِقُوْنَ
প্রকৃত ঈমানদার তারাই যারা আল্লাহ‌ ও তাঁর রসূলের ওপর ঈমান এনেছে এবং এ ব্যাপারে পরে আর কোন সন্দেহ পোষণ করেনি। তারপর প্রাণ ও অর্থ-সম্পদ দিয়ে জিহাদ করেছে। তারাই সত্যবাদী।

مِنْ قَبْلُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَ اَنْزَلَ الْفُرْقَانَ١ؕ۬ اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِاٰیٰتِ اللّٰهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِیْدٌ١ؕ وَ اللّٰهُ عَزِیْزٌ ذُو انْتِقَامٍ
এর আগে মানুষের হিদায়াতের জন্য । আর তিনি মানদণ্ড নাযিল করেছেন (যা সত্য ও মিথ্যার মধ্যে পার্থক্য করে দেয়)। এখন যারা আল্লাহ‌র বিধানসমূহ মেনে নিতে অস্বীকার করবে, তারা অবশ্যই কঠিন শাস্তি পাবে। আল্লাহ‌ অসীম ক্ষমতার অধিকারী এবং তিনি অন্যায়ের শাস্তি দিয়ে থাকেন। (আলে-ইমরান : ৪)
