Information comes in dribs and drabs and cannot always be verified. I’ll be posting as I hear things, but please look out for updates.
3rd October 2025. We are now in the Palestinian time zone. As you can see, the sea is quite calm this morning. It is unpredictable, so we don’t know how long this will last. We were up quite late last night as news of the 14th doctor of the French NGO Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). We will have to wait and see what France does in return. So far we have only seen words and no action. The sea was extremely rough yesterday and I became a bit sick but am fine now. We are separate from the Sumud Flotilla. That was always the intention and the strategy. Now that they have been captured by the Israeli forces the 8 boats that set sail with us and our large vessel are the only 9 left. The other boats set off slightly ahead of us, but we expect to overtake them today. We will then be the front vessel heading to Gaza. That has risks but this is a risk we were always prepared to take. This vessel is carrying 96 people of which 82 are media and medical professionals as well as some of the organisers. Besides this there are members of the Flotilla Coalition steering committee and the ship’s crew.
This is not primarily for delivering humanitarian aid, though we have supplies with us, so we do not become a burden on our Gaza brothers and sisters. We are here to break the illegal siege. We are here to protest against the journalists and medical professionals killed alongside the ordinary women, men and children, in Gaza by Israel. Since foreign media blocked. We want to break the siege, especially the media siege.
Your love and your encouragement gives us strength. We shall prevail. Palestine will be free.
